World Service is a national station for the UK (and beyond) owned by the BBC.
The program content includes mostly
speech and some music. Most programs are in English, but some are aired in
other languages such as French, German and Spanish as well. The programs
include news, affairs, documentaries and world cultures. The service on 648 kHz
is the European continental version. On the UK digital platforms it’s the UK
version. BBC World Service is also available on short wave.

in continental Europe and South East England, SW 5975, 6195, 9410 and 12095
kHz. Also is available at night on Radio 4 frequencies.
