Merry Christmas Parker 2003

Golly, Parker, it doesn’t seem possible that I should be buying gifts for a 4 yr old little boy now…….

How I wish that I was. I so looked forward to our first Christmas with you but we didn’t get to have it, did we?

Now we are coming up on our 4th one without you.

Little Jessica is here as I know you already know.
She is beautiful and reminds me a lot of you sometimes.
She’s tinier still than you were though.

I love Jessica lots but I still love and miss you, Sweetheart.

Granny always will miss you.

I told your Aunt Becky when Jessica was born that the only way I could be any happier was to have a 4 yr sitting on my lap while I held the new baby too.

The year you died, I didn’t decorate for Christmas at all. I just didn’t have the heart. We drew names……your Mommy, Aunt Becky, Uncle Kevin, Grandpa and Granny.

None of us wanted to do anymore shopping than we absolutely had to. We couldn’t stand to hear the laughter of all the shoppers.

Your mommy didn’t even come to our family get together at Christmas but everyone understood or said they did anyway. Grandpa and I put on our “we’re okay” faces and went but our hearts weren’t in it.

We still wear those faces sometimes.

Did you watch Grandpa and I build your snowman that first winter? I know people thought we were nuts out there at the cemetery building a snowman!!

I didn’t care at all though.
So many times I will look at things your cousin Wyatt likes and my heart aches that you aren’t here to play with those things too.

You took a huge piece of my heart with you when you left, Parker and you will keep it until I see you in Heaven.

You can put it back in me then, Sweetie.

Merry Christmas in Heaven, Parker.

Granny loves you lots.

Please do not remove the Christmas tree from this site it belongs to Parker
