The Tickle

The Tickle

The tickle showed up
The first day
I found your email
Sitting there waiting

It had plenty to say
It said you wanted to apply
To be my friend
You sounded so nice
I took a deep breath
And then
I wrote about me
Hoping you would return
I really didn’t know
Friendship you have to earn
We wrote about the usual things
And yet they seemed special
You said I was Beautiful
They didn’t lie when
They said you were good looking….sigh
One day we started to talk

Voices in cyber space
Playful words
Laughs and smiles
I was trying to imagine
Your face
That tickle would begin
With each new grin
I couldn’t wait
To see what you had written
Each morning was
Suddenly a sunnier
Place to be
Each evening
The words Good night
Felt warm and fuzzy
Surrounding me
There were a few tears
Sad tales to relate
You didn’t leave me
You made me feel great
That tickle starts up
Every time I think
Of seeing you
For the very first time
I wonder if it will grow
And show on my face
I just can’t wait
I will probably be shy
My tummy full of
Those silly butterflies
Is it really two weeks?

Seems pretty neat
I like this tickle and
I want to give it to you
I hope that it makes
You feel happy too.
