A lifetime away
I made a wish
On a winter night

No star or moon

Only silence
Filled the night

As cold as the season

Of shining lights

A cheery house

Friends and family

Was it only a dream?

What had come to be
I wished in my heart
For another chance

For love and acceptance
I didn't need presents
Wrapped in paper and bows
