The great G4/TechTV merger, that we heard about for weeks before it ever happend. "May 28th is going to be a great day for TechTV"
At this point I know of nobody who agrees. Let me start my ranting by asking who has ever heard of G4 before this merger? The answer I'm sure is very few people. Which begs the question, since G4 wasn't doing good enough to be heard of before... what was TechTV thinking when they said "Yeah let's let them take over 90 Percent of our airtime" To watch a bunch of scrawny kids play video games all day is by far the worst idea I've ever heard of. It's something I would've thought was cool when I was in the 4TH GRADE.
Now I loved TechTV with all my heart, there were only 2 shows I did not like 1. Robot Wars 2. Conspircies both of which I could watch, just didn't really go out of my way to do so. Now shows like "Players" and "Cheats" and especially "Arena" have me avoiding this channel, I catch the 9 O'clock Screensavers and the 11 hour X-Play and Unscrewed. But watching Team Asslick versus Team Ballsack play Mech Assault or any other game for that matter just is not entertaining, even for the most avid of gamers out there. Tip to G4: VideoGames are interactive, by putting them on TV they lose what make them games... this is why no one ever heard of you guys before!
Yet another thing they really really messed up is the TechTV website. Now this is just about enough to drop me to my knees, whimpering like a beaten dog. And honestly that's how I feel with this whole thing. I went onto their "New and Improved" website was there for about 5min, all I wanted was to see if Kevin Rose had any new and cool dark tips... Well 5min went by without finding anything about it, I gave up. I went directly to their forum section and joined the countless other in complaints, not that it will help because G4 is obviously ignorant to what their viewers want, but it's worth a shot. All I can hope is that, Kevin, and Sarah put their "DOTD" and "DT" on their personal websites, or post them all on The Broken *Ok, scratch all of that, apparently they are just moving servers for all the TechTV stuff... I'll wait to see before I remove the above comments*
