Roasted Corn on The Cob

Check the tassels on the corn before purchasing.  If they are not too dry then the corn should be good.  Also try breaking a few kernels with your nail. If juice spurts the corn is good.

Take the corn home and place on your altar or in the center of the kitchen table.  Hold your hands over the corn and ask the corn goddess (or your version of deity) to bless this corn and bring health and prosperity to all who consume it.  Keep your hands over the corn until palms grow hot.

Carefully peel back the husks from the corn without taking the husks off.  Pull off the silk and discard.  Replace the husks , smoothing them onto the cob.  Tie the ends together with a strip of the husk or string.  Hum the words abundance and prosperity as you work.  Set the corn aside until 1 hour before grilling.

Soak the corn for 1 hour before grilling.  Prepare your grill, by asking Vesta the goddess of hearth fires to bless the fire.  Place the corn on a medium-hot grill and tin foil to help control the heating process.
