Current Needs- Museum Docents/Ambassadors (Tour Guides)

The museum utilizes the training and knowledge of it's wonderful volunteers by asking them to be docents and ambassadors. These volunteers generously donate their time to come to the museum, at their discretion, and just hang around for our visitors' convenience, should they have a question or want a tour. We provide the training neccessary for our many varieties of tours, including our popular exhibits Manhattan Project, Palomares 'Broken Arrow' Incident, and the Cuban Missile Crisis. We also have special tours scheduled by school groups, nation-wide touring companies, and a variety of youth groups such as Boy Scouts and Brownies, all of whom often request docents to guide their groups through the museum. If you would like to become one of our docents, please contact Redd Eakin at 245-2137 (x110).
