Our June event was a sleepover, just like the "olden days"!

We met at Cyn's house in Thibodaux. Then we decided to go have dinner first, then see a movie. We got to the theater too late, so we bought tickets for the next showing of "The Stepford Wives", and then went hang out at Joe Muggs until it was movie time. This is us at Joe Muggs. We really had a great visit.

We stayed up until 4 in the morning, got up before 8 and still looked this great waiting for breakfast at IHOP's!

I have added this music to this page because I thought it was really significant. It's a midi I had on my opening page of my personal site. I have lost that page, but wanted to use this beautiful tune here, as we are all on the shady side of 50. To read the lyrics to this song, go to the link below and enjoy all of Redsal's work!

midi is "Shady Side of 50" by REDSAL

Sing along! Here are the lyrics....

The Shady Side Of 50 Words and Music By Sal Grippaldi Copyright Redsal 1999 * All rights reserved

Something's mentioned and you see,
A vivid slice, of memory,
When you're sitting on the shady side of fifty,
You see your future looking back at you.

Any thought can be the one,
That triggers mem'ries, then they're gone
When you're sitting on the shady side of fifty,
These old mem'ries mean the world to you.

Pictures fill your thoughts and you remember,
Things you thought forgotten long ago,
They may take you back to being twenty,
Re-living all the times you treasure so.

Shut the door,
Put out the lights,
Then close your eyes,
And see the sights,
When you're sitting on the shady side of fifty,
These old mem'ries mean the world to you.
