Hello, I am a 55 year old female with COPD. I cannot tell you how this has changed my life. I live on a sailboat in LA, not cal. Alittle down on my luck at this time in my life. COPD has put me in the hospital more then i would like. I catch cold, it goes straight to my chest. Have Student Loans which the government has to so politely been taking with my tax returns so i don't even get them now when i do get to work. I get a decent job, if u call 6.00hr decent,that is the going rate in LA. I have an attack,lose time at work and get let go. I only have 7yrs until i can collect my social security, that is if the govenment don't jerk that away also. I am living with a friend to whom i owe more money then i can possibly ever pay back. I know this seems alittle unethical but i just didn't know what else to do. If any good hearted people out there would like to help out i would honestly use the money to keep gas in my car,,find another job,and hope for the best,pay off hospital bills,$6,000 worth,,pay my doctor,another $400,pay my friend some of the money that has been used just keep me alive and well.i realize that in the long run the COPD will do me in. I can not promise anyone that i can pay this money back. I just want to get back on my feet and live long enough to collect my social security when i turn 62. I know some older folks will say that i should wait till im 65 so i get full benefits but i don't see where at this point that would feasable. If you smoke,,worked in places that might have chemicals,lots of dust or live with a smoker. Take care, smoke is bad, I moved to LA from PA where i worked in the Easter Grass factory there.
