Yusuke Urameshi is a junior high student that likes violence and often gets into fights. He has a reputation for being the toughest kid in town and his punches are really strong. However, his life changes when he sacrifices his life to save the life of a boy in a car accident. He is given a chance to be alive again provided he pass a test given by Koenma, son of King Yama.

Once he's alive again, he has become a Spirit Detective with powers that'll help him in his missions. Through missions, he has gain 3 strong allies, Kuwabara, Kurama and Hiei. What lies before them are series of adventures and opponents that are stronger each time.

This is an anime that is about fighting most of the time. There are times where there are some humour and of course times where viewers will feel sad. Throughout the anime, you can see how the characters progress and becomes strong each time. As their opponents gets tougher, the battles are getting intense and exciting. Overall, this is a nice anime thats worth your time watching if you like fantasy anime.
