The next morning:
Lily came awake slowly, not waking her roommates until she realized it. There was honey all over her, and many different mixtures of many substances she didn't even want to know was. There was grease smeared all over the floor and on the hangings around their beds. "AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Lily screamed.

All the girls sat up like lighting bolts out of their sleep.

"What the ..." Menolly started, she too was covered in honey, but also in chocolate syrup, but the rest weren't as lucky.

"Lard!" said an angry Ashes, "butter!" shrieked Sarah, "Oil." Elimear stated. "Wait, before we all freak out, do you hear that?" Menolly said while listening intently. They all heard loud hysterical laughter coming from downstairs in the common room. "I'm going to kill them." said Ashes nearly growling with rage.

She then got out of bed and stepped onto the grease swathed floor, Lily and Sarah both shouted, "NO!" but it was too late, Ashes started slipping and sliding all over the greased floor. She fell then, landing on her back, then groaned, "Www...".

"Here." Menolly said reaching for her wand, when she had it in her grasp it slipped right out. "They greased our wands too!" said Menolly, annoyed.

Lily carefully and slowly got out of bed and stepped onto the grease covered floor, "Gross..." Lily said with disgust as her bare foot came into contact with the greasy floor. "They will so pay for this." Lily said after a pause.

"Of course." said Menolly calmly, she then stepped off her bed, walked to the bathroom and took a shower to get clean. When she came out, the other girls were all rushing to the bathroom entrance. "Whoa!" shouted Menolly while jumping aside and out of the way. She decided to go down to the common room since she was dressed in her uniform and ready for breakfast. She went downstairs only to see the three *Pranksters* rolling on the floor laughing hysterically. "Ahem." Menolly said (they didn't notice her come down) They froze, then looked up slowly at her while getting up, they knew her temper. "So, sleep good?" asked James grinning evilly.

"Very. Although the wake up call wasn't as nice." Menolly mused.

"They just stared at her waiting for her to blow up. But she didn't, she just... laughed.

"That was the most hysterically hilarious thing I have ever seen in my life!" Menolly exclaimed.

Unfortunately, the other girls didn't feel this way, and didn't seem to take their little prank well. "James Potter! I am going to mortally wound you for doing this!" Lily yelled as she descended the stairs.

"Uh oh." said James quietly.

Lily was at the bottom step now, and she was mad. The three boys took a sharp intake of breath, and also took a step back.

It was like they were facing the Monster from The Black Lagoon, except this monster had fiery read hair, dangerously flashing emerald green eyes, and a temper that could burn through steel.

"Potter, I don't know what possessed you, and I don't really care. Because I am going to take you down." Lily said, her eyes livid with anger.

All you could here, was the three boys gulp, turn on their heels and run like the devil was chasing them.

"Whoa, Lil's, calm down a little." Menolly said, not in the least bit afraid of her in this state.

"Sorry." Lily mumbled and turned crimson in the face. "I didn't mean to blow up at them that much."

"Don't worry about it." Menolly said to her friend. "Shouldn't we wait for the others? "Naw, their still trying to get all the stuff out of their hair. "Lily explained. "Ah." Menolly replied as they walked out of the common room and through the portrait hole. When they reached the Great Hall it was still kind of empty, they were up pretty early.

So they decided to go over to the Mauraders and sit down opposite to them. They were still a little jumpy around Lily, especially James.

"Sorry I blew up at you guys earlier. I was just mad, although I did have good reason to." Lily said.

"Yeah, It's okay." said James relaxing a bit with relief.

After a couple of minuets a lot of students had come in and started eating. The group looked up to see the other girls in the dorm come into the Great Hall.

They didn't look in too great a mood, they were still just a bit angry at the Maurders. At the look on the girls faces the three boys tensed up. Thankfully they were only not talking to them, except for Ashes.

All she did was come up behind the Maurders and give them each a slap up side the head, then sat down on the other side of Lily.

" Morning." said Lily and Menolly to Ashes. "Morning." she grumbled back while taking some food and piling it on her plate.

McGonagall started passing out time tables to the Gryffindors.

"So what do we have first?" Sirius asked Lily, who had just gotten her time table. "Charms." she answered. "With the Ravenclaws." She continued excitedly, "That means we'll get to see Meghan and Thomas."

"Look there's Meg now!" said Sarah happily.

Meghan had just walked into the Great Hall. She turned and saw the group all sitting at the Gryffindor Table, she waved, then Thomas waved motioning her toward the Ravenclaw Table, at which he was sitting.

"Gotta go." she mouthed to them and went to sit by Thomas.

"We'll see her in class then." said Ashes.

They finished breakfast and went to pick up their bags with their books for Charms and Transfiguration afterward.

During Charms they were well...er...'trying' to levitate feathers, but some had a few 'accidents' .

It wasn't a pretty sight. The professor was not very good at pairing people up as partners. She paired James with Sirius together, which was the worst mistake any teacher could ever make.

Remus and Peter were paired, and thankfully the girls were paired together. Lily and Meghan, Ashes and Menolly, and Sarah with Elimear.

Remus was getting frustrated, his feather didn't even budge, it just lay there. But what he didn't know was the James and Sirius had glued his feather to the table. "Why won't this work!" Remus exclaimed after an hour of trying. James and Sirius were shaking with silent laughter.

Lily looked over at James and Sirius wondering what on earth they did, then she realized it when she looked over at the very frustrated Remus. She then got up and walked over to the two troublemakers, "What did you do to Remus's feather?" as she asked this, the two boys put on their 'innocent face'.

"Us? What would we do?" James asked in a little sweet voice.

"Is 'that' supposed to make me believe you?" Lily said, referring to their act. "Yes." the answered in unison.

"It doesn't?" Sirius asked puzzled, "Nope." answered Lily shortly.

"Oh no, she's not falling for it James." said Sirius in mock worry,

"She's to smart to." James said.

"I'll take that as a compliment." Lily said.

"Well, we only glued his feather to the table..." James said off-handedly. Lily put her hand over her eyes and sighed heavily, then took her hand off her eyes. "You two..." is all Lily could say, for the bell started to ring, announcing that class was over and effectively drowning out Lily's voice.

They all packed up their bags and left the Charms classroom talking about the class while walking to Transfiguration. "I still don't get it, it wouldn't even budge..." said Remus who was now getting confused and in a really bad mood. Lily had just told Menolly and Ashes why the feather never moved, the three girls then glared darkly at James and Sirius.

The two took a half step back and James said quietly, "Uh, Remus, buddy?...me and Sirius kind of..well, we glued your feather to the table..."

Remus just looked at him, “You could have told me earlier you know." Remus laughed letting this slide.Then they all then went to Transfiguration.

The boys sat down in the back of the classroom, but Lily was dragging Menolly and Ashes to the front. "Come on Lily, don’t make me sit in the front." Menolly pleaded," McGonnagal already hates me."

"She does not hate you." Lily countered.

"Think of it this way, McGonnagal hates everyone." said Ashes realistically.

"True..." Menolly started but was cut off by Professor McGonnagal entering the classroom.

"Hello class, I hope you are prepared for today’s lesson..." Prof. McGonnagal said staring each student straight in the eyes while speaking. "So I expect hard workers, attentive listeners, an no (she emphasized no) mischief, or mischief makers." She added with a pointed look at the Maurders, Ashes and Menolly.

"Well she doesn’t just hate me." Menolly said, "Yeah, she hates me and the Maurders too." Ashes replied.

"We should make a club." Menolly said after a pause.

"Oh shut it you two." Lily hissed at the two girls, "I’m trying to concentrate." They were supposed to be turning a match into a needle. By the end of class only James and Lily had managed to change the objects perfectly into what they were supposed to. Except the Maurders had also set off some dungbombs, and McGonnagal wasn’t too happy with them.

The four boys received detention on their first day (including peter, I hate peter, but I have to use him in this, but not a lot.) So then the Maurders and the three girls went to lunch. They were walking to the Great Hall when they passed an opening to a corridor, and their two least favorite people came striding out.

"Well look here, Potty, his friends, the half-blood, and the mudbloods." Malfoy smirked.

"Great, the jack@ss with a wand is here." Ashes muttered.

"Quiet mudblood!" Snape commanded (yes, commanded). Ashes and Menolly suddenly burst out laughing histericly, "Excuse me? but who died and made you king of the world! Menolly said between laughs.

Snape grimaced, "You two just take your slimy selves away from us before we bash your greasy little heads in." James said, turning on his heel and walking to the Great Hall. The rest of the group were walking right beside him. They got into the Great Hall and sat down, the three girls on one side, and the four boys on the other side facing them.

"So what do we have next?" questioned Sirius ,"Potions." Ashes anserwed.

"Oh, how fun." Menolly said sarcasticly, "Great." James said, "Lousy way to end our first day of school, ya know." Remus stated. "Just peachy." Lily said with much sarcasm.

They all ate then, well, Lily ate, the rest...well they shoveled their food down in a flash. "You six really do take your time don’t you . . ." Lily said as they all got up to go to the common room since they had break.

"Of course, we take time to take a drink and breathe." Menolly stated with a grin.

"Good answer." the boys and Ashes said, Lily only rolled her eyes.

Then the boys, Ashes and Menolly started to laugh. "Well why don’t we tell them another little thing, O’ Human Sink." Lily said, indicating Menolly.

Menolly looked at her and glared. "What? The Human Sink? What’s that?" Sirius questioned, then Remus elbowed him in the ribs and said, "I think you mean who is."

"Oh." Sirius said.

"Should I tell them or should you, the actual Human Sink tell them? Lily said amused while Menolly mouthed to her, " I am going to severely wound you Lily."

"Come on, just tell us, we want to know!" James said.

Menolly then gave a sardonic smile and said, "Lily has called me the Human Sink for a while now because I drained a whole two liter bottle of cream soda in less than a minuet, at her house."

"Happy now Lily?" Menolly asked,

"Quite." Lily replied.. " You actually drained it all in less than a minuet! That’s better than Remus!" James said, and Remus went red.

They all started laughing except for Menolly and Remus whom were still a bit embarrassed and didn’t think it was that funny. "You guys better get your bags, we have to go to Potions." Sarah said coming down the stairs of the Girls Dormitories.

Chapter Ten : Pranks and the day after.

The Maurders groaned but then James got an idea, it was quite obvious. For James had gotten a devilish grin on his face, he then turned to Sirius and Remus. He whispered something in their ears that the three girls couldn’t hear. The three of them then ran up the stairs that lead to the Boys Dormitories, with Peter trailing behind.

"What are they up too . . ." Elimear asked to the other girls, "I don’t know . . .and I don’t think I want to know . . ." Sarah said. "Well I’m curious." Lily said stepping as quietly as possible up the stairs. "Why not." Menolly shrugged, joining her friend on the stairs, "Off we go again." Ashes sighed joining to two also. The three girls walked quickly but quietly up the stairs. "Okay, now what we’re going to do is do a little redecoration to the Slytherin Common room tonight." James said quietly, "Now Sirius, have you gotten that charm looked up?" Sirius nodded while closing a book and scribbling the words of the charm down on a piece of parchment.

"Now Remus, have you got the . . ." James stopped when he heard a creak on the stairs. He walked over to the door quickly and swung it open, but as soon as the three girls heard James stop talking, they shrank back into the shadows. But unfortunately for Lily and Menolly, James saw them there and dragged them into the dorm, but luckily Ashes wasn’t caught. "Why were you two spying?" James interrogated. "We weren’t spying, we were eavesdropping." Menolly said. "Okay, then why were you eavesdropping?" questioned Sirius, "Because you guys are up to something . . " Lily started "And now you know all of our plans . . " Remus finished. "Darn." James said, "But if the girls don’t tell . . .then we can still go through with the prank." James finished. "Yeah . . ." Sirius said. "We could take them with us?" Peter suggested. "What?" James and Sirius exclaimed. "That would be so fun!" said Menolly considering the idea, "But, your decision you know." "I don’t know . . . we could get in major trouble . . " Lily said unsure.

"Only if we get caught though." Remus explained. "Well . . ." James said thinking it over, "Okay, I’m in." James finally agreed. "Sirius?" Remus and James said, Sirius didn’t really want anyone else to be there, but the girls were okay.

"Alright." Sirius agreed, "But, you can’t tell anyone else, not anyone."

"Deal." both girls complied. So they started planning again, this time with the girls. They then gathered their supplies and they all went to Potions.

They got to Potions five minuets early, which made Lily ecstatic because she’s obsessed with punctuality. "See, it makes a good impression on the teacher." Lily explained about her punctuality peeve. "Maybe on some teachers, but not her." Ashes pointed out, while looking at the professor who was scowling at all of the Gryffindors. "I am Madam Butcher." said the menacing professor as she glared at the Gryffindors yet again, then smiled at the Slytherins.

The class went by slowly and torturously for the Gryffindors, as for the Slytherins, well lets just say that Butcher is quite fond of her House (she’s head of Slytherin House). By the end of the class Butcher had taken off twenty-five points off of Gryffindor, thanks to the Maurders. The bell finally rang and all of the Gryffindor first years let out sighs of relief and left for Gryffindor Tower to drop off their bags and go to dinner. And as soon as the Maurders and the girls were out of ear shot of ‘The Butcher’ as Madam Butcher was now called, James, Sirius, and Lily started complaining about her. "She took five points off because my potion was not simmering the ‘right way’!" Lily exclaimed , " It either simmers of\r it doesn’t! There is no wrong way if it’s actually simmering!" Lily finished, she was mad but she cooled down after saying that. "And these two over here got ten points each off because they wouldn’t shut up." Ashes said rolling her eyes. So they all went to the common room and dropped off their bags and headed down for dinner.

Dinner went by smoothly, except for that the Maurders had done something to the Slytherins seats because they couldn’t get up, at all. Until every House had left, then they could get up and they were able to go to bed. All of the Gryffindors had a good laugh about that when they got back to the common room. Everybody then went to sleep, well, everyone except the Maurders, Lily and Menolly. They had their prank to carry out with. So at midnight when the common room was nice and empty, the two girls snuck down to the common room to see the four boys waiting for them. "Ready?" James asked everyone, as to where they all nodded, "Okay, let’s go." Sirius said. "How did you guys find out where the Slytherin common room is and what the password is?" Lily asked while they were walking down a dark deserted corridor. "Well earlier this morning while Me, Sirius and Remus were walking down the corridors last night or well, very early this morning, we saw the Slytherin Prefect heading toward the dungeons, and being the curious trouble makers we are, we followed him." James said. " So when he got in front of a wall he said the password and went in."

The two girls wondered what on earth the boys could be doing at that time of night besides just walking around, probably trying to find secret passage ways.

After long walking and a couple of close calls they were standing in front of a stone brick wall. "What was the password again Remus?" Sirius asked, "I believe it was ‘Great-ones’." Remus replied, and as soon as he had said it the stone wall split apart for them to enter. "See, their so full of themselves that they actually have a password that’s ‘Great-ones’, what jerks." Sirius said as they entered a green colored common room with chains hanging from the ceiling, green armchairs, and green lamps. They started getting out the materials that they had brought with them. "This is going to be hilarious, but after this, we get to prank Snape and Malfoy." James said with an evil grin. "Most definently." Sirius replied with an evil grin as well. "When they were done they all had to hold in their laughter, for they had just turned everything in the common room. . . "Pink." Menolly stated, "I never have liked the color pink."

"I agree." Lily said as they all stepped quietly up the stair cases to the dormitories, they started on the girls first, and then the boys. They saved the first year boys dormitories for last, the pranksters went in and started to finish what they had started. But this time Sirius pulled out a camera and started taking pictures of Malfoy and Snape for blackmail purposes. When they finally got back to Gryffindor Tower, it was 4:30 in the morning. They could only say ‘night’ before trudging up the stairs to their dormitories and climbing into their beds and falling asleep the instant their heads touched the pillow.

The next morning Lily woke up to Ashes and Sarah yelling, "GET UP YOU TWO!!! OR YOU’LL MISS BREAKFAST AND YOUR CLASSES!!!" Lily opened her eyes to see Menolly with her fingers plugging her ears from the loud sound and looking irritated . "WE’RE UP!!!" Lily and Menolly screamed at Ashes and Sarah at the same time. "GOOD!" They yelled back .

The Marauders woke up to Bryan shaking them all awake and telling them that they’ll be late for breakfast if they don’t get out of bed. They all mumbled an ‘ok’ and started to get out of bed and get dressed . When the boys got down into the common room they saw Ashes and Elimear trying to wake up and pull Lily out of an armchair, and Sarah trying to also wake up and pull Menolly off the couch where she was laying, fast asleep. "Fine! We’ll just leave you here to sleep!" Ashes said in frustration, "Thank you." said the two half asleep girls. Ashes threw her hands up into the air and walked out of the common room and down to the Great Hall. Sarah and Elimear looked at where Ashes left and at their two friends who wouldn’t get up, they then looked at each other, shrugged, and also walked out of the common room and went down to the Great Hall. The Marauders looked at the two sleeping girls and then looked at each other. But this time they didn’t walk out, they had an idea, James and Sirius conjured up some ice cold water and decided to throw it on the two girls. They snapped awake so quickly that it would scare you, and they chased after those boys until they were in the Great Hall.

When they entered the Great Hall they saw that all the other Houses were laughing histericly at the Slytherins. And when the Marauders, Lily and Menolly saw them, they too started to laugh uncontrollably. They made their way over to the Gryffindor Table while on the way Meghan and Thomas caught sight of them and waved, then mouthed, "Good one!" while laughing. The Marauders and the two girls sat down over by Ashes, Sarah, and Elimear.

While eating, the pranksters observed their spectacular prank with pride and delighted good humor."Now I wonder how that could have happened..." Ashes said sarcastically while looking at the Slytherins whom were all wearing pink and had pink hair. Bright shocking hot pink that would give you a head ache if you looked at it too long. Then Ashes looked over to the Marauders, Lily and Menolly then smiled a mischievous smile, "Brilliant." she paused then said," So I'm guessing that’s why you two..." indicating Lily and Menolly,"...were so tired." Ashes finished, the two girls mention nodded still a little bit sleepy.

They all saw the teachers (only ones who were in Slytherin and the Head of the Slytherin House) were frantically trying counter-curses to undo the hilarious prank. But with no luck, not even till the end of breakfast, they stopped and let the curse take it's course. When they all started to leave the Great Hall, Malfoy and Snape came over to the Marauders and the girls.

"You’ll pay for this Potter, you and your little mudblood loving friends will pay." Malfoy said angrily.

" And pink really isn’t you color." Lily said offhandedly.

"Don’t you agree.?" she added looking to Menolly for help.

"Yes, quite." Menolly added very skeptically stifling a laugh. "Not a color you would see boys choose these days, eh Ashes?"

Most definently not." Ashes said, joining the act. The three girls started laughing as the two Slytherins turned around and started to walk off until...

"What? No snappy comeback? I’m positively shocked!" Menolly shouted after them. Snape turned around and said coldly, "Just wait Greenwall, we’ll get all of you, just wait." Everyone except the two Slytherins glared at him. The two finally walked out of sight. "Oh we’re so scared." Sirius muttered under his breath sarcastically.

"Come on, we have to get to Defense Against the Dark Arts." Sarah commented.

When they entered the classroom, they saw the young professor Sealin sitting behind his desk, preparing for class.

Since they had gotten there quite early, professor Sealin was a bit surprised when they came in. Of course Lily dragged the girls up front, but she even managed to drag the boys up front with them. But of course they started to glare at her continuously. "Too bad, so sad, and don’t glare at me." Lily said, smirking at her success. "That’s what you get for yesterday morning." she added and gave the boys a stern look that made them stop glaring at her.

The other girls laughed and agreed with Lily, they too smirked at the Marauders. The Marauders looked so defeated and dejected that even professor Sealin laughed. "This is going to be some interesting year." he said, "Especially with all of you in it." he finished in good humor indicating the girls, and the Marauders.

Class started in a few minutes, the room started to fill up with chattering first years. When the bell rang, Professor Sealin stood up and addressed the class that day’s lesson plan, then took roll. All hour the first years listened to Sealins’ lecture over hexed and how to block some, it was quite interesting.

Not soon enough for some, the bell rang and the class was released for the next. The week went on, more pranks were made as the Mauraders were growing quite popular with the school, except for the Slytherins of course, for they were the pranked ones. Time was flying by, as was the homework, flying right out the window one night; Potions to that fact. James Potter as the frustrated first year Gryffindor student attempting to do his homework, but instead, threw it out the Common Room window.

"Stupid Potions!!! I hope it goes to hell!" James yelled furiously.

Everybody looked up at James momentarily, but then went back to studying as everyone was busy with homework. "James!?!? Why did you *throw* your Potions homework out the window!?!? We would have just helped you with it!" Lily said expertly.

"Oh." James replied sheepishly and blushed.

"Boys." Menolly and Ashes replied who were getting help with potions from Quistis Trepent, a third year Gryffindor, and History of Magic help from Selphie Mizuki, also a third year Gryffindor as well as Quistis’ best friend.

"Yeah, calm down kid, here’s some good advice: learn the system of cheating off someone smarter than you and don’t piss off Butcher too much, for we want to win the house cup this year." Quistis started, and then finished, "I learn from experience."

"Yup, and it all works to your advantage too." Selphie said with a smile and Quistis grinned evilly at her and said, "Although it really is a blast to piss off Butcher..." You see, Quistis and Selphie are cousins, although they get along so well, as to they are best friends. Selphie, has long very, very dark red hair (almost brown) and she is 5'6, and a fun-loving intelligent spunky, a bit klutzy, happy-go-lucky prankster person! Quistis, has very long fiery red-orange hair and is 5'8, she is a mischievous prankster with an intelligently devious quick mind, although contrary to her cool exterior, she occasionally has a difficult time coping with frustration, and as a result can become depressed over trivial matters.
