"One may have, at a given time, an indefinite number of slaves, but only one Free Companion. Such relationships are not entered into lightly, and they are normally sundered only by death. Occasionally the Gorean l like his brothers in our world, perhaps even more frequently, learns the meaning of love."

Disenchanted by fourteen years of life in the Jungles under the twisted guidance of a cold and cruel Taluna. Taught all the dark and carnal aspects of life long before a child should see or hear of such things. Death, sex and slavery are nothing new to Sefia ... she is wise beyond her years. A stunning beauty with more courage then most men would like a woman to have.

Born in the Jungles of Schendi near Lake Ushindi and raised by her mother, Migaela, a Taluna who never bothered to tell Sefia who her father was. Be he pirate, rarius or slave ... who could tell? The man certainly wasn't around to make himself known to his daughter and the Taluna saw no point in revealing his name. Migaela was never the nurturing type, never cared about the needs of her children. Over the years Sefia, as the eldest, saw seven children born to Migaela of which only the three girls were kept. Two of the male children were sold away into slavery, one was given to his father, a pirate temporarily docked in Schendi, and the fourth was simply killed. It was this that bred a hatred for Migaela in Sefia and drove the young woman to run away from her mother's pack at the first opportunity.

Hand after hand passed as Sefia trudged north, unsure of where she was going or what she would do with herself. Amazingly, she kept her neck free of the collar and firmly attached to her shoulders by the time she reached the Vosk Delta. Then the Kings seemed to intervene: While running from the scene of an assassination she ran into a pirate and huntress, both circling a woman. Sefia watched, muttering to herself about the foolishness of the woman when she hit the man and soaking her feet in a hotspring... It was then the pirate seemed to take notice of her. He offered her guardianship, protection... It was too good to turn down and she won herself a family. She'd prayed she would fit in. It wasn't to be... but she would go on with the help of friends and a roguish man.

Can you see me now?

Can you see me now?

All this weeping in the air

Who can tell where it will fall?

Through floating forests in the air

'Cross the rolling open sea

Blow a kiss, I run through air

Leave the past, find nowhere

Floating forests in the air

Clowns all around you

Clowns that only let you know

Where you let your senses go

Clowns all around you

It's a cross I need to bear

All this black and cruel despair

This is an emergency

Don't you hide your eyes from me

Open them and see me now

Can you see me now?

Can you see me now?

Can you see?

Can you see?

See me here in the air

Not holding on to anywhere

But holding on so beware

I have secrets I won't share

See me here pushing you

If I then deny I do

Contemplate or wish away

If I ask you not to stay

Clowns that only let you know

Where you let your senses go

Clowns all around you

It's a cross I need to bear

All this black and cruel despair

This is an emergency

Don't you hide your eyes from me?

Open them and see me now.
