Mining is the most boring thing to do in runescape. Although it is my trademark skill, and it is very profitable, it is still very repetitive.To mine, you need a pickaxe (free in barb. village) and a rock to mine for which you have enough mining skill. For maps of mine sites, visit the Mine Maps. Some of the maps are outdated and lack silver, but I am working to make new ones for this site. To mine, first prospect a rock to see what kind of ore it contains. Do this by right clicking on the rock and choosing Prospect. Alternatively, you can use a mine site map (click the above link) as the locations of ores never change. Go to the mining tables to see if you can mine this ore at your level. If you can, go to inventory and click on your pickaxe, Click on therock, and repeat until you have enough ore.
At level 60, you can enter the mining guild. With 20 Coal rocks and 4 Mith rocks, it is easy to get the coal you need!
