"So, um I like wanted to talk to you for a sec Brit," the high school senior looked intensely into the girl's eyes and leaned into the metal locker in the hallway, across from her. He watched as the girl flipped her hair over her shoulder and make eyes with him.
Britney Spears, head cheerleader of Hilton High School and Hilton Homecoming queen of all four years, nearly creamed her panties when the hottest and most unattainable guy in the entire school, Justin Timberlake came up directly to talk to her. It was lunchtime and as usual, she and her fellow cheerleaders were going to make fun of people who actually ate their lunch at school. She's been dropping hints at Justin ever since freshman year, sometimes going over the line but the bleached blonde wanted to make that boy hers. But for some lucky reason, the teenager sought the girl out and asked to talk to her, not the other way around. Maybe all those special splits she did for him at games were finally paying off.
"Why sure Justin. Is this private? Should I send my friends away?" She hoped on her latest Vogue magazine that it would be. She was so happy she worn her Wonderbra today. She hoped her make up was still fresh from last period.
Justin gulped and then looked at her. "Uh yeah." He definitely didn't want her friends around. He felt a little weird with all those eyes on him.
Britney quickly turned to her friends who were all hanging onto every word the star basketball player and head cheerleader were saying to each other. "Cocoa, Lou Anne, Teensy, Bitsy and Celery, me and Justin need to talk privately," the girl had to hold her thighs together when saying that. "So if y'all don't mind you can go to lunch without me." The girls all smiled in syncopation and nodded like the brainless Barbies they were. "So Justin what is it that you want to talk to me about?" She chewed her blue bubblegum that she painstakingly chewed each period to match her baby blue micro miniskirt and midriff.
"Well I wanted you to know that I've notice you flirting with me and I, uh, kinda like it. So, uh, how about going with me to catch a movie or something?" He finished awkwardly. He knew for sure the girl would accept his offer. But the loud pitch squeal was definitely not expected.
"Oh my God like a date?" She was very close to breaking out in cheer.
"Uh. I guess you can call it that." He scratched his head and prayed for the girl to calm down. Her brown eyes glowed like chocolate headlights.
"Of course Justin." She said his name in reverence. "I'd love to." She touched his arm to make sure this wasn't a dream.
"Great. How about tonight or tomorrow night?" He asked nonchalantly.
"Today!" She said hastily. "I mean today's fine." The sooner the better in her book. She couldn't wait to tell the squad her limberness had finally paid off.
"Okay then, I'll pick you up. Six o'clock cool? You can pick out whatever movie you want." Justin hitched his book bag higher on his shoulder and moved away from the excited girl.
"Wait!" She held onto his arm. "Don't you need my address?" She giggled stupidly and batted her eyes.
"I know it already. I'll see you then." He walked down the hallway, happy that the process was all over.
*`*`*`*`*`*
"I'll get it!" Britney's younger brother called to his sister who was scurrying upstairs in the Spears home.
"Thanks Josh!" She called from her walk-in closet. She didn't know which skirt, if you could call it that, would be best for her first date with Justin Timberlake.
The lanky high school junior walked to the front door and the family cat, Jess, curled into the boy's leg as he stopped to rub her ear. "Hey Jessie baby." He lifted the black cat into his arms. He shifted the puss into one arm and opened the door with the other. He smiled when he saw who it was. "Hey Justin. How's it going?"
"J. My man." Justin smiled brightly. "Never seen you holding anything other than a basketball. Gotta admit the cat suits you." His teeth sparkled along with his dark blue eyes as he joked with the younger man.
"Shut up Timberlake," Josh chuckled. "You should be so lucky that I hold the ball so much. Wait make that I should be so lucky to hold the ball so much after you, Mr. MVP." Jess purred and nuzzled into Josh's arms. She blinked her honey colored eyes gracefully and took the newcomer in.
Justin held out a steady hand over the cat's head. "Can I?"
"Sure Jess loves being petted." He told his teammate.
Justin placed his large cupped hand over the feline's head and stroked the soft jet-black fur slowly, sometimes brushing Josh's chest that Jess rested against. "Nice cat." Justin complimented softly.
"Yeah she's a great cat but not when Britney's around. She just doesn't like her for some reason. She gets all cross." The dark haired boy shrugged and moved to the side. "Why don't you come in? Taking Brit on a date, eh?" He wiggled his eyebrows up and down comically.
"Yeah," Justin shrugged carelessly and moved inside, brushing ever so lightly against Joshua's side. He closed the door and motioned for the blonde to follow him.
"Should I have one of those warning talks with you?" Joshua asked as he showed Justin to his den. The two boys sat side by side on the black leather sofa, the television played lowly in the background. Jess jumped out of one boy's arms and into the other.
"Warning talk?" Justin smirked.
Josh couldn't help but smirk back. "Yeah. Like treat my sister like gold or I'll break your fingers into finger nuggets." The two boys laughed after hearing that.
"You wouldn't do that," Justin said while running his hands along Jess's spine.
"How'd you know?" Josh smiled.
"I just do." He smiled knowingly and then looked at Jess.
Josh smiled as he watched Jess take to his friend. He never hung out much with the older teammate other than team functions and outings. It was no time like the present to get to know his fellow player better. "So Justin I never knew you were interested in Britney. She was chirping like mad when she came home today. Be forewarned, you're going to watch some sappy chick flick with no point and probably lots of pink."
"It can't be all bad. I think I can survive. You know Josh I always wanted to know. Forgive me for being too nosy but how come you and Brit don't look alike?"
"Ah you've figured me out. We're in a witness protection program and we can't disclose that information." He said with a serious face. Then he laughed, "Okay actually we're stepbrother and sister. My mom married her dad when she was like three and I was two but other than that she is my sister. My last name is Chasez-Spears but to cut all that writing, I stick with Spears," he explained.
"Cool. It's great to see you all close. I always wished I had a sibling."
"Please only kids get to have control over everything. Be lucky you don't have to share a bathroom with that hog upstairs. She's probably still in there now, junking all that make up on her- let me stop bitching." Josh's cheeks turned a bit red. "I'll go see what's taking her so long instead of blabbing you to death." Josh stood up and walked to the doorway. "Want anything to drink when I come back?"
"Sure. I'll have whatever you have." Justin answered politely and watched Josh's jeans encased ass as the younger boy walked out the room. Justin put the cat next to him and tried to think unflattering thoughts in his head and tried to keep Josh's butt out of there. The last thing he needed was a boner jutting out while the cat sat in his lap or even worse when Josh came back. He'd probably think that he was thinking about Britney and he definitely didn't want that.
Well granted it would appear to everyone that Justin liked Miss Spears but in reality it was farthest from the truth.
It was Mr. Chasez-Spears that did it for him.
Justin couldn't be labeled anything other but gay. No one at his school knew the truth. It was the reason why he never had had a girlfriend. He was mistaken for being too shy. He knew way back in junior high that boys were the objects of his desire. Not any boy but Joshua himself. Ever since that first day of school in eighth grade when he saw the skinny seventh grader walk in with Britney onto the basketball court. He knew there was something about the brunette boy he liked.
And his liking Josh turned out into a full blown crush by the time he graduated junior high. Justin was never as happy when he had learned that Josh was going to go to the same high school as he because Justin was more than ready to switch to whatever school the lovely brunette chose. He was shocked no one noticed how his eyes seemed to light up when the other boy was mentioned. He even joined the basketball team after hearing from a friend that the Spears boy made the team as a freshman. So he tried out and thankfully made it. Meaning he got to spend more time watching and surveying the boy.
And that crush grew during those years into definitely more than a crush. And Justin thought it would be too stalker like to crush on the boy and be his best friend so he watched from the sidelines.
But a man can only wait so long.
He broke down and did something he thought he would never do. Ask Britney Spears out on a date. He knew the girl has been swishing her tail at him for the longest of times. He thought the forward advances were cheap and tawdry. But he figured that if he dated the girl for a while, he could learn more about Josh, becoming more of a friend instead of a teammate. Plus he could get to watch Josh in his habitat. It did wicked things in his mind when thinking about that shoulder length wavy hair and glacier blue eyes. He heard footsteps padding down the stairs and he thought non-arousing thoughts like Britney in underwear. His budding erection wilted. He would only think of her naked in times of dire need to lose a full erection.
Josh walked in with two cans of Pepsi in his hand and handed one to his guest. "She'll be another ten minutes or so. She said the movie started at like seven or so. She was gabbing at a mile a minute I'm surprised she didn't swallow her tongue."
Justin didn't mind if the girl never came downstairs. He was talking to the real reason as to why he was there. He made a mental note to write down in his diary that Josh liked Pepsi. Damn he was such a girl. "Thanks man."
"You know Justin we never really talked that much. I always thought you were some 'I- think-I'm-better-than-you' senior but you're alright." Joshua flipped channels with the remote, trying to find some sports channel the two could watch while they wait for Britney.
Justin felt a humongous grin coming on so he quickly placed the cold can against his lips and drank. He was saved from having to answer Josh when he heard Britney fly down the stairs. Damn, he thought.
Britney beamed through the layers of makeup on her face. The cat however wasn't happy with the girl so she hissed and ran roughly between her legs out of the room. The girl rolled her eyes and then looked at her date. "Hey Justin. How do I look?" She twirled in yet another micro mini, this time being khaki and a blue low cut top.
What Justin really thought was that wasn't it better than her walking around naked but instead he went with the universal answer, "Nice."
Her smile fell a little but she wasn't deterred. Josh bit his cheek from laughing out loud. If there was anything Britney disliked it was hearing her clothes termed as "nice". "Thanks baby."
Justin thought it was a little too soon to be calling each other pet names but he made the decision to ask her out so he had to grin and bear it. He looked to Josh and knew he was worth it.
Josh got up along with Justin and patted his teammate's back. "Been real, Justin. Y'all have fun," he wished good-naturedly.
Justin hoped for his sake that the so-called date would be as nonsexual as it could be.
*`*`*`*`*`*
"Yeah he's taking my sister out. So I guess your hypothesis about him being gay was incorrect," Josh smiled as he curled into the couch and talked on the phone with his best friend, Joey. The two have been talking for about an hour, mostly about Justin and Britney's possible future dates.
The front door opened and Josh knew his sister would want to gab about her first date with Justin. "Joooooooooooooooooooooooooosh!" She screeched giddily before she closed the front door properly.
He chuckled. "Looks like she's here to rave about how great he is, Joe."
"More like how great they are together. She's finally gotten her wish. I still don't fully believe it." Josh's good friend held firmly onto his view of Justin.
Britney ran into the den and jumped up and down when she saw her brother on the phone. "Oh my God Josh!" She clapped wildly. "Tell Joey you'll talk to him later. We have big things to talk about."
"How do you know its Joey?"
"Like there's a day you two don't talk. You two are weird. I mean ex-boyfriends who still remain best friends. But come on I wanna talk to you." She threw herself next to her brother and pulled on his arm.
"I think she's made fun of us Joey. Maybe I should stay on the phone with you for a couple of hours. Probably by then Brit will self-destruct." Britney slapped his arm. "Ow. Fine no need for violence. I gotta go Joe. Talk to you later." He pressed the off button on the black cordless and Britney dragged him off the couch.
"I swear having a gay brother has its perks," she gushed. As the two climbed the stairs, Jess made her way down stairs. Once the feline saw Britney, she arched her back and began to hiss like mad. She meowed evilly and raised a paw full of claws.
"Jessie sweetie, c'mere. Come honey. Be nice to Britney," Josh whispered sweetly to his pet. The cat took one more sinister look at the girl and then went down the rest of the stairs, making sure to be rubbed by Josh along the way.
"We've had that damn cat for six years too long," she grumbled.
Josh frowned a little. He loved his cat ever since he got her as a gift for his tenth birthday. "She's harmless. You have to be calm around her. You have virtually no patience."
The two continued their ascent up the stairs and into Britney's room. "Whatever." She ripped off her shirt as Josh sat on her bed. "Justin is so hot but you already know this." Josh nodded silently and waited for her to carry on. She kicked her skirt off and stood in front of him in her underwear. "He was so gentleman like. I mean I kept giving him the green light and I mean look at these," she pointed to her chest. "This new Waterbra is working over time. I mean hello D cup but he still kept his eyes above my neck. I even picked watching some stupid chick flick so he could lose interest in the movie and take interest in these and me but he actually watched the damn movie. He never let a hand slip or grope accidentally once."
"Well I have a feeling that he is shy." But Josh couldn't help being secretly proud of Justin. He knew his sister could test the most saintly of men if she wanted to, sometimes wearing certain outfits that should be outlawed. But knowing that Justin was respectful made him smile.
"Well I don't want him shy. He's gotta be mine. I finally got him after all these years and I'll just have to up the ante." She turned to search for a t-shirt to wear.
"You know you don't have to wear the itty bitty clothes and all the make up. If he really likes you, you don't have to wear all that."
She looked up quickly from searching for a pair of sweats. "Oh my God, did he tell you that?"
Josh rolled his eyes and sighed. She just didn't get it. "No. He did not say that."
"Besides I am being the real me. Let me go wash my face. I can't stand to have the makeup on for too long. Be right back."
Josh shook his head at his sister. Britney didn't understand. She always relied on clothes or her face to get things but if she were so comfortable why did she rip those clothes off and wash her face so quickly?
He looked down at his betraying stomach, which clenched and unclenched repeatedly. It kind of hurt to talk about his former crush with his sister. He was happy for her, she got who she wanted to be with. He thought he was long over the silent basketball player but his stomach said otherwise.
*`*`*`*`*`*
"Hey Spears! Wait up!" Justin called out to Josh as he was preparing to leave the locker room. The team's practice was a killer that day. Justin grabbed his gym bag and smiled when he gotten into Josh's vicinity.
"What's up Justin?" He had just finished getting dressed.
"I wanted to know if you wanted to catch a burger with me unless you have something to do." Justin looked nervously.
"Nah man. I was going to watch a play rehearsal in the auditorium but a burger sounds even better."
"Cool man. I'll pay." Justin fingers shook a little. In his mind, this was their first date.
"You wanna wait for like half an hour for Brit? She should be done with the squad then." Josh looked into his friend's eyes.
"Er, no that's okay. I'll see her later tonight anyway." He didn't even remember the girl who he dated for two weeks so far.
Josh chuckled, "I see. Tired of the pep squad?" He batted his eyes playfully. "Don't worry those girls scare me too. Even Brit when she's in cheerleader mode."
"Yeah," Justin sighed and watched Josh walk in front of him. How could he walk so fluidly? He didn't regret choosing to date his sister. He and Josh talked more often and now they were going out for food together.
"So since you're paying how about Jimmy's?" Josh smiled.
"Well it's a little pricey but I got ya."
"Well I ain't no cheap date," he kidded.
Justin would pay a million dollars for a burger bun if he got to call their outing a date. "Good one Spears." The two boys walked down the block to the diner and both seemed to gravitate to a booth in the back.
"What'll you have?" A waitress asked once the boys sat down.
"Pepsi," Josh quickly answered and then blushed. "Sorry. What would you like to drink Justin?"
"I'll have a Pepsi as well. It's my favorite." Well actually his new favorite.
"Me too." Joshua smiled.
"Two Pepsis it is." The woman left as quickly as she appeared.
"Coach is working us hard this season." Joshua complained. He wanted to make small talk because if he didn't it would lead to staring at Justin and he wasn't too sure that would go over well.
"Yeah but I can't believe it's going to be my last season here. I'm going to miss it." Actually he'll miss Josh but that was only for his own knowledge.
"Yeah I'll miss you too."
Justin looked up hopefully, "You will?"
"Hell yeah. Who else am I going to pass the ball to when I'm blocked?" Justin felt his stomach drop. "Just kidding. But we'll have months to go before we have to worry about that. I'm sure Britney will be heartbroken."
Why did he have to bring her up? Justin definitely did not want to talk about her or think about the annoying girl now. Not when he was on his date. "So you going to the dance this weekend?" The waitress brought their sodas to the table.
Josh snorted. "Yeah right. I wouldn't waste my time but I don't have a date to go with."
"Why not bring Carrot?"
"Carrot?" Joshua laughed until he cried. Justin thought the sight was breathtaking. He'll definitely record the way his eyes crinkled up when he jacked himself off that night. "You mean Celery? That's quite alright."
"Are you guys ready to order?" The waitress asked.
"You go first." Justin ordered. He wanted to eat exactly what his crush ate. It was so pathetic in his mind but he just couldn't help himself.
"Cheeseburger, well done. Heavy on the ketchup, lettuce and onions. Definitely no tomatoes or pickles. Oh and fries. Thanks."
"I'll have the same." Justin said the lady. She wrote it down and made her way to the kitchen.
"You know you don't have to order the same thing to make me feel better or anything." Josh noticed that whatever he ate, Justin ate.
"Oh I don't mind. I'm not a picky eater." If Josh ordered a plate of hot shit with a side of horseradish, Justin would have gotten it too.
"Well if you say that you drown your fries in ketchup, I think we're soul mates." Josh joked but Justin took that seriously.
So they boys ate and talked, sometimes about the team, sometimes about classes or themselves but the one thing that wasn't brought up was Britney. Justin made sure not to and Josh at first wanted to because it felt wrong having such a good time with his sister's boyfriend without her being there. His sister's boyfriend who just got promoted from being his former crush, right back to being his crush.
After the guys were finished, Josh decided that it'll be cool to go back home with Justin included. Both boys went back to the school and drove their cars to the Spears home. Jess wrapped her tail around her owner's leg once he walked through the door. When she saw Justin, she did the same.
"Have a seat. I gotta take out the trash." Josh dropped his bag by the front door
"Oh I could help if you want." Justin wanted to spend as much time as possible with the other boy.
"No you paid for the grub. Sit, play with Jess, and watch some TV. I'll be back in a couple of minutes." Josh walked backward towards the kitchen.
Justin sighed and then picked up Jess. "Hey girl." He carried her into the den and sat down. "Wanna know a secret? I'm in like with your owner," he whispered to the cat.
"Telling Jess secrets now?" Joshua chuckled from the doorway.
"Well…see…um…" Justin dragged on, not sure how to answer such a statement but he didn't have to because Britney burst through the den doorway.
"Justin? I totally didn't expect you here. I knew I saw your car parked in front of our house." She looked nervously at her attire. She had no make up on, she wiped it off in her car and her clothes weren't even revealing. "I'll be right back." She raced up the stairs to change.
Josh smirked and sat next to Justin. The two reached for the remote control at the same time, making their hands close over each other for the briefest of moments. They retracted them just as fast but each teen savored the minute moment. "Um TV." Joshua thought out loud and inwardly chastised himself.
"Right. TV is good." Justin said in a higher tone than normal. Josh turned the television to MTV. Justin made sure to make his knee lie lightly against Josh's as they watched. Every couple of minutes he leaned his knee a little harder. Josh didn't pull away from his knee so he kept going. That is until Britney came in with too much lipstick and too little shirt.
"Hey there baby. I had to change into something more comfortable." Justin just nodded. His moment was ruined. He finally got to be near Josh, breathe the same air and eat with him and his girlfriend had to cut in.
"I'm going to go take a shower." He got off the couch to let his sister have some alone time with her boyfriend though it twisted him up inside.
Justin wished he could make the girl disappear but instead he faked a smile. Britney threw herself next to Justin making sure to rub herself against his side like a bitch in heat. He tried to pull away without making it too obvious. Jess had crouched in the corner and didn't see Britney's arrival but she planned to make up for lost time. She zipped by Britney's bare leg and nearly scratched her as she ran out of the room.
She pulled away from Justin to check her leg. "Demon cat!" She flipped her hair over her shoulder and tried to once again flash her goods. She smiled and Justin had to bite his lip from laughing out loud. She had lipstick on her teeth. "I can't wait for the dance-the dance Saturday." She stuttered in her haste to talk about their being together. "I got a new dress and everything baby." Justin once again cringed at being called baby.
"Yeah I tried to convince your brother to come along. He's more a homebody, isn't he?" Maybe he could try and hang out at the Spears home that day. He wished he could keep Josh some company.
"Who Josh?" She giggled girlishly, too much for Justin's like. "He's not going to go. He doesn't like school parties. He feels he's above that. He and Joey will probably watch movies all night long. I swear ever since they broke up, the two of them have been-" Britney cut herself off and looked up with wide eyes at Justin. She never meant to let the cat out of the bag. No one knew Josh was gay other than family.
"Josh is gay?" Justin asked in wonderment, which Britney mistook for shock.
She sounded sincere when she began to explain herself. "I never meant to let it slip. I mean he's no different from you and I really. He's the same Josh. Oh my God don't tell anyone. He'll kill me." She just had a bad habit of talking too much when she was around Justin. Like she had to tell him her life story and then some.
Justin blinked a couple of times to make the revelation settle in his head. Josh is gay. His Josh. His crush Josh was gay. He didn't have to play this charade anymore because now he could- and then it hit him. He made the mistake of going out with Josh's sister. And now Josh would never want to date him because he thinks Justin is straight and dating his sister. "What? No. No I won't tell. I just never suspected that he was gay. I'm more than cool with it." If she only knew how cool he was with it.
Britney threw her head on his shoulder in gratification. "Thank you so much. I mean this is great because now I can talk to you about his ex and his gay stuff."
Gay stuff? And here he was getting ready to think the girl was halfway cool. "Oh he has a boyfriend?"
"No." She wrapped her arm around Justin's and began to dish about her brother's business. "Actually Joey, you know him Joey Fatone?" She waited for his nod and then carried on. "Well he was so interested in me last year and he would hang around the house and we went on a couple of dates but then he saw Josh sunbathing in our backyard and he fell for him. I of course felt so bad I mean forget about being dumped for a guy but for your brother? That's the worst."
Justin gulped nervously. It looks like fate will repeat itself again for the girl. "So he's single then."
"Yeah. He and Joey even remained friends after they broke up a couple of months ago. I find it weird. Who remains best friends with an ex-boyfriend?"
Justin shrugged wordlessly. Dumping Brit was going to be a hard one. He regretted his hasty move on dating Britney. "But who cares about Josh and Joey? I'm more interested in you and me." Her voice took a sultry tone. "How about you come kiss me? No one is here to interrupt. I've been so longing to taste you."
Justin stood up like his pants were on fire. "I uh. I need to go to the bathroom. I'll uh be right back." Then he added as an afterthought, "Baby." He quickly ran out before Britney offered her services.
He climbed up the stairs and then remembered Josh saying he was going to take a shower. Was it bad to hope to catch the younger boy hot and wet from a steamy bath? But Justin didn't know where the bathroom was exactly. He never had to use it there and he didn't now but he just had to get away from down there.
Justin opened the first door he saw and inside the room was swimming in a world of pastels, clothes, dolls and makeup. This had to be Britney's room. He quickly closed the door and continued his search. The next door was slightly opened and Justin was glued to the spot. Through about two inches of space he could see Josh. An almost naked Josh getting ready to put clothes on. The naked boy dropped his towel with his back to the door, unaware of his audience and picked up a pair of boxers off his bed.
Justin forgot how to breathe. The picture in front of him surpassed any he made up in his mind while touching himself. The supple creamy cheeks were a marvel. Justin threw caution to the wind and stepped a little closer but didn't expect the floor to creak.
Josh looked up like a deer caught in headlights, his fingers snapping his waistband in place. He walked up to his door. "Brit, are you fucking with- Justin? Are you stalking my bedroom now?" Josh joked but he didn't know how close to the truth he was. The boy opened the door wider to talk to Justin.
Justin's brain couldn't function. "Um. I um. I was, er." Justin's face was turning scarlet. It got worse as each millisecond passed by.
"I was just kidding. Let me guess, you're looking for the bathroom?" Josh tried to help his friend out. He did like how Justin blushed though.
Justin nodded rather quickly. He was sure he had drooled from the sight of Josh's creamy chiseled chest. Were those abs he saw? He couldn't help staring at the coral nipples. "Yeah."
Joshua noticed Justin staring at his chest but took it as a sign of embarrassment other than desire. He felt his nipples respond from the direct stare. "Um it's the second door after this one." He wanted Justin gone before he noticed Josh's predicament if the blonde didn't notice already.
"Right." Justin moved his legs but his eyes were glued. He scurried to the bathroom and closed the door. He leaned against the door and whipped his cell phone out. He couldn't believe it. Josh's nipples got hard. And most likely from him and if it wasn't so awkward and so wrong, he might've called the younger boy on it.
He dialed his mother and told her to call him back in two minutes. He had to go home and needed a good enough reason to shake Britney off. He had an erection due to her brother to take care of. Pronto.
*`*`*`*`*`*
"So like oh my God Britney! Like how was it like kissing Justin?" Celery asked dreamily. "Was it like everything you hoped for?" The girls were watching the basketball team play in the gym from the bleachers. The cheerleaders had a practice directly after them.
Britney frowned. Other than a quick peck on the cheek, the two have never made out. She's made sure the two of them were caught in plenty of compromising positions and situations and yet Justin has never taken her up on any of them. She began to wonder did she really like him, like him or did she like the idea of being with him? She loved being the envy of the entire Hilton High School female (and a few of the male) population. But being with Justin was basically platonic and light-years away from romantic.
"Well it's just like what I dreamed about," she fibbed. She refused to admit not even kissing him.
"Oh. Is it like ice cream flavored bubble gum?" Celery asked seriously.
Britney tilted her head to contemplate that answer. "I think so."
The girls continued to be befuddled and missed the guys finishing their practice. The sweaty men made their way into the locker room. Josh made sure to get to Justin before his sister did. "Hey Justin," he smiled and walked next to him.
Justin felt his heart speed up. God did he find Josh's voice irresistible. He looked at the slightly shorter teen, "Wassup J?"
"You're killing me in three pointers." Joshua playfully growled. "But no, I wanna know if you're busy today. I wanted to repay the favor for food." He didn't mention that he also would have the house to himself for three hours. No parents and most especially no Britney.
"Jimmy's?" Justin would definitely not say no. Maybe he could accidentally knock the saltshaker in Josh's lap and help brush it off. He felt himself respond and he thought of Britney to keep his budding arousal down.
"Sure. We can even eat at my house if you want to that is." Josh finished shyly. He looked into Justin's eyes and he swore that he could get lost in them. He knew when the boy looked directly at him, he couldn't seem to catch a full breath.
"That'll be cool. We can watch the game or something."
"Or something." Josh was sure there wasn't a basketball game on. Especially so early in the afternoon. "So you game or what?" He wiped the sweat from his forehead with a towel.
Justin watched the boy swipe his forehead a little more and then he remember where he was. "Of course man. I caught a ride to school this morning. So if you don't mind being my chauffer, I'll hurry up and take a quick shower." Most of the team was either in the showers or heading there.
"Yeah you do that. You reek." Joshua joked.
"Like you're exactly smelling fresh. Going to come?"
Yes he would. And especially if Josh had to shower while being so close to a naked, bathing Justin. He felt himself twitch at the thought. "Um I'll do that at home."
"Aw is Little Josh shy to bathe in front of the big boys?" Justin hoped Josh changed his mind. He could maybe glimpse Josh's bottom half from the front. Damn did he need help.
"No Justin. I would like to bathe in the privacy of my own home. Now get a move on it or I'll change my mind." Josh went to his locker, not knowing that Justin's eyes trailed his path.
Justin showered and the boys got cheeseburgers and French fries just the way Josh liked them. The guys finally made it inside the Spears home. "Go to the den and find something for us to watch. I'll go shower now. I'm not smelling exactly fresh as you like to rub in." Josh said sardonically. Jess meowed in welcome at her two favorite boys. "Don't eat without me. Ten minutes tops, okay?"
Justin waited years to eat with Joshua alone. He would never give up the chance. "No prob. Jess and I will keep each other company."
Josh went to the stairs and stopped midway. "It's kinda funny. My sister has competition with a cat." He chuckled his way upstairs.
"Actually there isn't any competition Jess. You won paws down between you and her but Josh is the champion supreme." Justin whispered to the feline. He smiled because this would count as their fifth 'date'. He brought Jess and the bag of junk food inside the den.
Ten minutes later, smelling like soap and water, Josh threw himself down next to Justin. "Hey. I see you take orders very well. You didn't eat anything. Good boy." Josh teased. He waved a big bottle of ketchup in his hands. "We can eat now."
"You're lucky I like you Spears." Justin rolled his eyes but he truly meant it. He liked him a lot.
Josh opened the bag on the table and handed Justin a container. Josh folded his right leg under him, making his knee push against Justin's thigh. Neither boys minded the contact. They ate in contentment, sometimes talking, sometimes not. The two reached for the bottle of ketchup at the same time and they both stared at each other instead of pulling their hands away. Both wanted to prolong the moment but didn't want to make it obvious.
Josh looked up from under his dark lashes. "Go ahead. Take it first."
"No. It's your ketchup. You have it first." Justin lowered his voice for some unknown reason. The look that Josh was giving made his toes tingle.
"Are you sure?" He stared into the oceanic depths. Justin tightened his hold on the bottle. But Josh's hand was under his hand. That contact seemed to clear his muddled mind a bit. Here he was flirting with his sister's boyfriend. He didn't even register that Justin didn't mind the advances. He moved his hand and stuffed his mouth with a few fries.
Justin squirted more ketchup onto his fries, a little disappointed for pushing up on Josh. He couldn't even keep it together when he was around the starry eyed teen. "Thanks."
The two finished their food in silence. Joshua had a nasty habit that he did after eating French fries. He licked the salt and remnants of ketchup off his fingers, one by one. He was on his third finger when he noticed that it was too quiet. He looked up and saw Justin's eyes taking in his actions. He didn't know what drove him but Josh continued to suck his fingers while Justin watched him. The two held each other's eyes.
Justin moved closer.
Josh sucked longer.
The two were in such fascination with each other that when Jess leapt onto the couch, they jumped as if they were scalded with hot water. "I'll uh take that," Josh picked up the trash and condiment. He silently rushed out of the den and into the kitchen. If it wasn't for Jess, Josh would have done something stupid. He wouldn't regret it but it would be stupid. Justin was straight for fuck's sake.
Josh quietly cursed at himself as he threw the empty cartons into the trash. He opened his cabinet door to put the ketchup back and when he closed the door Justin stood there silently.
"I'm sorry." The older teen apologized.
Joshua was slightly confused. "No Justin I am sorry. I didn't mean to get carried away. And-" Justin placed his forefinger against the plump lips to stop Josh from talking.
"No," his eyes smoldered. "I'm not talking about that." Justin moved closer to the boy, standing in his personal space. "I meant for this."
And Justin placed his lips against Joshua's, shocking the younger man. Josh didn't move at all until he felt Justin's tongue prod his closed lips for entrance. Josh couldn't help but to react. He parted his lips to let Justin in. When both tongues rolled together, it felt almost too good to be true. Joshua wrapped his arms around Justin's neck and opened his mouth wider. Justin pushed Josh against the fridge and then Josh got his senses.
He pushed Justin's head away from his. "What are we doing? Stop." He panted heavily against Justin's lips.
"What? Why?" Justin pouted. He finally got to taste a piece of paradise.
"Um you're for one you're straight but better yet my sister's boyfriend!" Joshua yelled.
"Only in name. I haven't even touched or kissed her," Justin said in defense.
That Josh knew from Britney's nightly complaints but it didn't matter. Justin was supposed to be off limits. "Why'd you kiss me? Wanted both Spears at the same time?"
"No. It's not like that. I'm gay. I have been for the longest of times. And you." Justin pointed to his crush. "You are on my mind constantly. Ever since the first day of school back in junior high. You had this black knit sweater on and thin gold herringbone chain on your neck. Your hair was low but wavy and you were just hot period. You had this little grin smirk thing going on and I just want to get to know you. But I was horribly shy." Justin reminisced and then stared into Josh's eyes. "You kissed me back. Why?"
"I like you." He said simply. "I have for a few months."
"Well I like you a lot. A lot, a lot." Justin looked earnestly into the teen's eyes.
"Well we can't do anything about it. This would crush Britney." Josh pouted.
"Why do we have to bring her into the equation?" He sighed.
"Uh hello! You're her boyfriend!" Josh waved his hands wildly in the air.
Justin moved closer to the boy and leaned against his torso. "No. Bringing her out four times to public places, letting her prattle on about her life and yours, and allowing her to call me Baby- which was unwanted from this end, did not qualify as a relationship. She took it as such. But the five times we have gone out together and time spent together here and at my house, that does qualify. I'm your boyfriend." Justin placed his lips on Josh. The two closed their eyes and savored the moment.
"So you've been crushing on me for a while?" Josh asked. He couldn't help but smile.
"Well I could tell you the exact number of days. It's written in my diary."
"Diary? Well that does it. You are gay." Justin nipped his lip for that.
"Well so are you. Does that mean you'll be mine?"
"We'll get to it. Kiss me." Joshua puckered his lips. He didn't want to think of the devastation this would cause. He just knew he melted when he kissed Justin.
"Get off my boyfriend!" Britney yelled from the kitchen door. She cut practice short and did not expect to see the two boys leaning against the fridge making out. The two pulled away from each other and looked guiltily at the outraged girl.
"Britney. It's not- " Josh paused in his explanation. "See. It. This," he waved his finger between Justin and himself, "This just happened. We weren't doing this behind your back. I."
Britney slit her eyes and scrunched her face. She resembled a blonde weasel. She wasn't as hurt at the thought of her supposed boyfriend cheating on her. She was more jealous that Josh actually got to kiss Justin before she did. "What the hell is going on? Justin why are kissing my brother?"
"See. I'm gay," Justin began.
Britney snorted. "Yeah right I know gay. My brother is gay honey and you aren't- Oh shit." Britney widened her eyes as she remembered all of her and Justin's so-called dates. He would always find an excuse to go home or be somewhere else when she tried to get a little more intimate. "But you can't be." She whined though in her heart of hearts, she could see that possibility. "Why'd you date me?"
"That was all my fault. I wanted to get a little closer to your brother."
"You're on the same basketball team!" Britney pointed out.
"He makes me nervous and I thought that this was an easier route to get to know him. Bad choice, I'm sorry. And I swear, though I look like an ass right now. I kissed him first. Just now. I wasn't trying to play both of you." Justin stood in front of his 'girlfriend' and looked into her eyes.
"It figures. I mean Josh always get my boyfriends. First Joey and now-"
"Britney, Joey never went out with you. He just hung out with you to find out what I liked. Justin is the first boyfriend I took from you. Well more like dater or good friend, less than boyfriend."
Britney mulled over it. She wasn't exactly feeling any love loss. But her pride stung a bit. "So you like my brother?"
"Too much some times." Justin admitted.
"Forgive me?" Joshua asked with puppy dog eyes.
"In due time. You have a lot of toe nail painting to do buddy," Britney warned her brother. She'd make him do a total pedicure this weekend. "Now dish. Did you like Justin all this time? Is that why you were so interested in what we did?" Justin felt his heart go pitter-patter. Joshua wanted to know the low down on his outings with his sister.
Josh blushed. "Sometimes."
"Well I need to change into some sweats. Now I don't have to wear all those push up bras. Well for you anymore." She said darkly to Justin. "I'll be back and then we can discuss your intentions for my brother and for me." She walked out of the kitchen door to head upstairs.
Justin smiled and held his hand out for Josh. "Does this mean we are together?"
"Well tomorrow yes because there should be a waiting period when one breaks up and goes into another relationship." Josh explained to his new beau.
"But we get to kiss right?" Justin hoped so because he didn't want to wait too long.
"Of course." Joshua looked at him as if he were mad.
"Well then let's start now," Justin smirked and brought Josh closer to him. Their lips hovered over each other's but before them made contact a loud scream was heard from the hallway.
"Josh! Call off your fucking devil cat! She's trying to bite me!"
Josh put a finger to Justin's lips. "Hold that thought." The two went out to call Jess off Britney.
The End
