CLICK!here to returnLook at this, a classic biginers mistake. I pulled over to make an adjustments with the bike or myself. I was 159klm's south of Brocken Hill and about 300klm's ahead to Mildura on the NSW - Victorian border. I didn't think i had to pull compleatly off the road because i was only one of the very few vericals on that road between xmas and new years day. I have droped this bike before and have been able to pick it up, however, this time it was just too heavy to lift. What to do? I pulled most of the luggage off but still couldn't lift sugar up off the road. Eventually a twenty somthing fella turned up in his ute, so i flagged him down, re-packed the bike and on my way.

Just down the road from the Silverton Pub out the back of Brocken Hill. The Silverton Hotel is famous the many Australian movies it has been featured in. Movies like "A Town Called Alice" and "Mad Max". The Mad Max car is still parked out front of the hotel today(see photos).

Motorcycle on white background. All shinny and clean. Motorcycles are fairly easy to clean their not very big, only have two wheels and easy to hose down. I still find it amazing that i can hose down the dashboard and engine even thou i ride it in the rain.

Here to return.....I was told by my mechinic "If you have the time, to do it your self or pay me $75 a hour, in cash" So I did it myself. This pic is of the bike halfway through a friction plate replacment. I had had a quote a year earlier of $1950 + parts. I replaced the friction plate, preasure plate, housing cover plate and a concave spring all up costing including tools etc: $789. I didn't loose or have a single nut, bolt or washer left over.

CLICK!Here to return Spent the weekend at Nelsons Bay about 2.5 hours north of Sydney. It looks like its blowing a gale in the photo. I was staying at a van park across the road from where this picture was taken. It was a fishing weekend with Steve and a couple of Steves mates. We had a 14ft tinny on the water most of the time. We had really fresh BBq fish, oysters and prawns that night. I caught a bright red Rock Cod somtimes called a poor mans Lobster, It was deliscious.
