Introduction

In this WebQuest we will use information from a real-life scenario to develop a linear equation.  The linear equation can then be used to make predictions.    

The Task

We will use the Internet to explore and to discover how linear equations are useful in real life.

You will work in groups of two.  Each of you will choose a real life situation to investigate.  You can choose to learn about burning calories from exercise or to examine a basketball player's performance.

You will graph your data, write a linear equation, and draw conclusions based on your analysis.  To get started with the WebQuest, follow the instructions in the Process section.
