Are you all familiar with Juliet Marilee? Well, of course you are. Aren’t you? What are you waiting for, than? This book, FOXMASK is the second book from hers “The Bright islands” saga. The first book, WOLFSKIN, is also on your reviews database. For the fans who have been anxiously waiting for this book, I need to tell you: it is far better than you are waiting for. Here is just a little of it, I don’t want to ruin your pleasure: Remember Somerled, the scared little boy who turned out to be a fratricide and a brutal tyrant? Well, this book is about is soon with Margaret. Thorvald finds out, in the very beginning of the book that is father is Somerlad and decides to go on a boat journey with his fisherman friend, to find his father. What they did not expect was Creidhe, Nessa and Eyvind´s daughter, following them. Creidhe is a very brave girl (isn’t she her father’s daughter?!) with spectacular and unusual skills. Her huge crush on Thorvald makes her follow them, hiding in the boat until it is too late for them to send her back. When they arrive to a distant Island, they find out that all the men in the island are very peculiar. They seldom speak and they all look astonished to Creidhe´s golden/red hair. In addition, there are very few children on the Island. The Island as a Ruler…a brutal man who rules based on fear. Is this man Somerlad? Did Somerlad survive from his long sea trip and made it to this island to become, again, a tyrant? In addition, why do these people fear so much the neighbour island? Who is foxmask and why do they hunt him year after year? Nah, you need to read it to know!!
