Eryk had dropped one of the star shaped toys on the floor. Both children stopped short
but, instead of crying Eryk simply pointed to the toy and it floated up into his hands. Both
he and his sister started laughing and smiling again as if nothing had happened.
The adults however, were speechless.

“Well, that’s different.” Dyro spoke first.
Kali and Lania shared glances.
Jared just stared at his niece and nephew.
Melian looked between the twins and Lania. “Do you think somebody could explain what
just happened?” Melian asked faintly.
Lania respond, “From a medical point of view it looks like telekinesis. As to how it
happened...” She trailed off, obviously as clueless as the rest.
Later that day Lania did a through exam of both Eryk and Katina. Neither baby had
anything unusual about them (minus the tails of course).
Everyone was slightly apprehensive about the twins new ability. But much like the tails,
there was nothing that could be done. So everyone simply adapted.
During the next week Eryk and Katina started using there new power more and more
often, and with heavier items. Dyro joked that if they kept it up they might even be able to lift him up.
Kali and Dyro were the only ones on the main deck. Kali was helping MIA scan
long-range, and Dyro was trying to learn how it was done so he could do it in the future.
MIA’s sphere gave a blip and started talking, “Kali, my scanners have picked up a large
mass about 4.7 hours from here.”
Kali frowned, “Planet?”
“Yes, Kali.”
“Inhabited?”
“I detect several different types of life forms, organic and carbon.”
“Lets head there. Maybe the people are friendly.”
“Dyro looked distrustful, “And if they’re not?”
Kali shrugged, “We run like hell, or engage them. Depends.”
“On What!?” Dyro nearly yelled.
It didn’t matter anyways because Kali had already left to go speak to the others. After
almost five hours the crew of MIA found themselves looking at a planet about half the size
of earth.
“So, now what?” Melian asked grumpily. She was cranky because it had taken over an
hour to get the twins to go to sleep. A beeping from a console got everyone’s attention.
“We are being hailed, Kali.” MIA intoned.
Kali looked surprised, “Answer them then.”
A man appeared on screen, he looked normal enough. “Good to meet you traveler’s.
What is your business here?” Kali stepped forward and spoke, “We are traversing the
A.T, Sir. We have yet to come across a Planet, we were curious.” The man nodded
politely. “We have not had visitor’s for many cycles. Would you like to stay a while with
us?” Kali was not expecting such an invitation. She quickly looked to the other’s for
approval. None of them seemed to object. “We would be honored, Sir.” The man
laughed, it was rich and deep seemingly genuine.
“Please, I am called Heroth here. I am the leader of this planets people. I will give you
coordinates for a place to land.”
“I am Kali, the Captain of this ship and it’s crew.”
Heroth nodded and cut the connection.
The crew of MIA got into a drop ship. Kali telling MIA to contact her if anything went
wrong. The only thing they brought was a bag of toys and things for the twins, who were
still sleeping. Eryk in Melian’s arms and Katina in Lania’s.
AN: What do you think? Silly, yes I know, but I had to get them onto the Planet somehow.
