Thieving: Redoran Vaults

Today we are going to raid the Redoran Vaults in Vivec... Why? Because we want all the ebony and glass stuff inside it. Right? Right.

1. Lower Redoran Vault

First off the will want to have a few lockpicks (Master, Journyman and Apprentice), and maybe a Secret Master Lockpick and Probe if you plan on lockpicking the door to the Vaults.

The place you want to be is in the Plaza of the Redoran Canton, there you will find the Redoran Treasury, go down the stairs and through the door, keep going down and you will find a bared door with a lcok level of 90 and trapped on each floor (2).

Bottom Vault

If you want to lockpick it then go right ahead, but i suggest fetching the easily aquired key from the Dralor Manor (in the Redoran Plaza) to give yourself a little bit of an easier time. Once your in the Dralor Manor (north building of the plaza, behind some walls) go in the front and turn right, go up the stairs and there is a Dark Elf woman in a room with a chest of drawers. Save the game, then sneak around until she doesnt see you, look in the chest of drawers and steal the Dralor Treasure Key. Take the key to the bottom level Vault and open the door and most of the chests inside with it, take the stuff you want* and then its on to the second Vault (1 level above). Alternately you could have just lockpicked the door and you would be in, but there are a couple of Ordinators hangin around that might give you a hard time.

*Remember that if you are cought comiting a crime and you pay fines with your stolen stuff they will all be taken away from you. I suggest finding a house or soem crates to store them in, or maybe in your guildhall (Ii store mine in the morag tong hideaway in the Arena).

Upper Vault

The second vault is a little trickier to get the key for (once again, if you like, you can just picklock it). The key is located in the pocket of Beldrose Dralor, who is standing just outside the upper vault. You will need to sneak and pickpocket her and take the key. I suggest saving the game before you do pickpocketing and stealing in case people see you, and you can just load and try again until you get it. Inside the vault along wiht all your goodies, there is usually one or two ordinators. You can either sneak around and steal the items or open the door, and wait for them to get out and then close it (waiting takes a fair while soemtimes). I found on top of some of the crates was a good spot to use sneak and picklock and steal a bucnh of the stuff. If you get over incumbered you can just drop the stuff on the floor and come back later for it without fear of getting cought for stealing.

And there you have it, hopefully now you have a bunch more sweet weapons and armour to beef up your character, and you have to admit, its kinda fun stealing all that stuff.
