So, Just who is Marc Power?
Well, I'm a Grade 12 Student at EVH maple. Once I get out of this hellhole (lol) I hope to attend Grenfell University and go into acting. my second choice would be MUN and architecture.
Most of my friends will tell you That I am dangerously addicted to Game Shows. I have a webpage dedicated to my game show addiction at: www.gameshowfreak.tk, I have a collection of approximately 400 episodes of old game shows some of which I don't think you've heard of before. My favorites though are: The Joker's Wild, High Rollers, Monopoly (that's right Monopoly the game show), Lingo, Blockbusters, Hollywood Squares, Russian Roulette, The Match Game-Hollywood Squares Hour and Scrabble (that's right it had a game show too). I mostly stay away from the reality shows because I think they're absolutely terrible. Although on occasion I do watch Fear Factor, I did like Dog eat Dog and I've become a fan of the Joe Schmo Show. I know many of you are thinking it's a weird interest but hey, that's alright I enjoy doing what I'm doing and nothing will stop me. I even come up with ideas for new shows. and if the money's ever there I will try to submit them to the network and get them on the air.
I've taken in interest in being involved with Drama festivals too. In Grade 8 & Grade 9 I did Backstage work. In Grade 8 I was an assistant stage manager and I got a merit award for it. in Grade 9 (when we went to the provincials) I did the lighting. The Provincial Drama Festival was truly a great experience We got to stay at the Grenfell university dorm and even got to take a tour of the campus. which is when I decided 'this is were I want to go."
I've been a previous of the Student Council twice, Once in Grade 9 and again in Grade 11 (last year) I really enjoyed being a part of it both times. I'll admit before Grade 10 I was not as outgoing. In Grade 7 & 8 I had some really rough times and since then I became really paranoid but after I was in Theatre Arts in Grade 10 I really think I've changed for the better. That was the best ever. I took part In the Production of A Christmas Carol as Bob Cratchit. I made a lot of new friends having been involved with that. and my grades were never better.
Of Course, Today it's hard to describe. Right now I'm not really involved in anything. The year got off to sort of a rough start because the mother of my mom's boyfriend passed away a few weeks ago from cancer at the age of 82 (RIP Harriett Rowsell). I'd like to think that she was like my second grandmother. Therefore, I've dedicated my campaign to her memory. and I hope that you will help me win it for her.
Thank You,
Marc Power
