The Shadowy Figure walks into the light and it appears to be Sonic.

Kat + Chao mumble in fear
Sonic Ah yes Chao and Kat, I do not wish to kill you, all that I ask is that you get out of my way on my fight for Komplete. Keaan! Untie them!
Keaan: Yes Sonic!
Sonic: Now for my sake I made Shadow my queen, she is an important factor for the Legendary Kingdom, plus I couldn't resist her. 2 of the three are gone now I must avenge my pride by taking Nin's life with the blade he forsaken me with.
Everyone in Komplete: NO!
Sonic: Why shouldn't I?! I could kill you all now if I wanted! But I know you wouldn't like that would you?
They all give a blank stare, all but Keaan and Shadow
Sonic: As for you Keaan, I shall let you command The Destroyers on the final attack on the Komplete Kingdom! Come Shadow and Keaan! We will let these weakings stare in awe.
Kat starts to cry and they leave the Destroyers Headquarters.
