Trading FLAC Files in DVD-R Format

What follows is an outline on the new format:-

While others lack tact in saying it, I think this is what would be the best way to procede: Keep the FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) files you receive from a torrent, then seed those very same FLAC files. One way to keep those FLACs is to archive them to DVD-R. Whenever you get around 4 GB or 8GB of shows, burn them to DVD-R and carefully note what shows are on that DVD-R. Then, when you wish to torrent that show yourself, you can find the DVD-R archive, copy the original files from your DVD-R to your hard drive, amend the text file to fix any informational errors about the show or add your own notes, then generate a new torrent from the very same files you received from someone else. Does this procedure make sense?

There are some clear benefits from following the above procedure:

My advice is shift your trading from CD-R to DVD-R archived FLACs so you can avoid adding this extra digital generation to your torrents and trading circles.

Not only is it avoiding the extra digital generation, it's so much easier to just burn a DVD-R than decoding and burning a lot of CD-R's.
