Some Jesse fans can be major critics when it comes to other fans. I happen to be one of those loyal fans who doesn’t let a Jesse, who is not true, go unpunished. Those that follow all of these rules (with an exception of one or two is allowed) are to be known as True Jesse fans. If those who fit wish it, their names (or pen name, screen name, etc.) will be posted on this site to set an example for many others.

So, you think you have what it takes to be a true Jesse fan? If you follow these rules, you should be good to go, there’s no need to be nervous as long as you know things about him or you don’t do certain things.

You are a true Jesse fan if…
- you know first of all, what he looks like…
- you know the basic facts about him (birthday, fav. color, etc.).
- you know that his eyes are green (not blue as said in magazines & Music Choice)
-you know the history of his past, musically and dramatically (or in other words, what groups he was in, what songs he sung [that’s not a requirement], and what roles he played in TV/movies, etc.).
-you own his CD (the JMac EP is not required), and his Dream Street CD(s) ["Biggest Fan" soundtrack is not required].
-you own his CD and learn the lyrics to most, if not all the songs.
-you don’t just listen to "Beautiful Soul," there are plenty of good songs to choose from that are 10x better.
-you try to stay current with recent events
-you don’t jump on the bandwagon because he’s quote:hot:endquote, know a few things about him as a person, and respect him as a teenager who’s worked very hard for his success
-you don't become a fan just because you like one song, take your time to learn about other songs besides "Beautiful Soul" (he did co-wrote 4 on his CD)
-you get mad when Jesse doesn’t win certain awards
-you know that when he's drunk or on drugs on the show, he doesn't take them in real life in order to look so bad
-you know that he isn't perfect, he experiences all the pressures of a teen, and he doesn't do drugs
-you don’t brag about the concerts you’ve been to or the times you met him [bragging stops after you’ve seen him in person more than five times… then you’re just being mean]
-you’re allowed to be jealous of other Jesse fans who have seen him more than you have… but you can’t say bad things about them behind their backs
(this is VERY important to me)- Don’t sing along to Jesse’s songs if you can’t sing too well… when you’re in the company of Other True Jesse fans
-you make an effort to see Jesse when he comes to your "neck of the woods"

Here are a few choice concert Jesse McCartney "True Fan’s" Do’s and Don’t’s

-Don’t brag [that’s a very large issue that other fans don’t take lightly]
-Don’t say "I love you" unless you really mean [in other words, don’t say it if you can’t think of something else to say]
-It’s ok to bring signs, also long as they’re not blocking the view of others
-Don’t start any cat-fights with Jesse fans, especially DS veterans (DS= Dream Street) for those who don’t know
