An Unlikely Note
Bryan was coming home for Christmas and he was driving the new Lexus he had bought for his mother as a secret gift. He had to stop at a gas station to gas it up that morning before presenting in to her on Christmas day. The long trip from Washington D.C. had made Bryan thirsty and he bought a soda and talked to the attendant would was a former classmate of his before he headed back out to the new car.
He reached for the door handle, and then he saw it the whole driver’s side was caved in and somebody had left a note.
To Whom It May Concern,
I’m sorry for backing into your new car and it was my entire fault, I was in a hurry to get home to cook my son his favorite meal for Christmas dinner and I had to leave. Here is my name and address so that you may send me the bill for the damages.
What followed were Bryan’s own mother’s name and his home address.
