“Living your whole life on one single pasture, only to eat the same old green grass, year after year” Lamented the disgruntled sheep
“Well it’s nice over here and we are provided with everything we need. Besides I like it here!” Chimed the optimistic sheep.
“Well I’m tired of this god forsaken brown pasture, I’ve heard of a pasture to the west that has sweet tall Kentucky blue grass. So I say we move there, all those in favor say BAAAAAA.”
A thunderous “ BAAAAAA” rose up from the flock of sheep.
“All those opposed?!?!?”
Meekly the sound of a single “Baaaaaa” was discernable from the direction of the optimistic sheep.
And thus it was decided that upon sunrise the next day that the flock would head west. So the made the long all day journey to the promised golden pasture to the west, when the arrived tired from the exhausting trek they ate their fill of sweet Kentucky blue grass. When they awoke the next morning the disgruntled sheep surveyed his new home, slightly smaller than the other pasture and to his horror completely absent of grass.
“Where did all the delicious grass go?” Queried one sheep.
“We’re hungry.” Groaned the flock.
The once-optimistic sheep answered, “ You fools in your haste and exhaustion you ate a years supply of grass, and now there is nothing left. But I’ve heard of a pasture to the east that can provide all the food you need.”
With this idea the entire flock made their way back to the browning pasture to the east where food was plentiful.,br>
On the way back home the only sound that could be heard of the trudging sheep’s breath was the optimistic sheep who clattered “ I told you so, I told you so.”
“ The grass is always greener on the other side.”
