One day a lumberjack was walking through the woods, when all of a sudden in the middle of the trail was a dog lying struggling to breath in the woods. Too weak to walk on his own, the man picked up the dog and carried him back to his cabin. Once at home he put the dog on his bear skin rug and slowly fed the dog meat and milk. This went on for several days until the dog regained his strength. He then began to walk around and discover his new surroundings.
One night the man was making his own dinner and after a whole day of eating meat and milk the dog was still hungry, while the man cooked his dinner the smells drifted around the cabin and filled the dogs nose, he became hungrier and hungrier because of this. When the man was finished with cooking he set his dinner on the table and the mere sight of this delicious steak dinner caused the dog to leap onto the table and scarf the entire plate full in one enormous mouthful. The man was infuriated, but he became saddened as he watched as the dog choked on the large helping he had just inhaled.
“Serves you right you greedy bitch.”
And with that the dog he had saved died on his bear skin rug that night.
“Don’t bite off more than you can chew.”
