Author’s Notes: This is my response to Pixie’s January fanfic challenge. I almost didn’t make the 155-word limit, but I somehow managed to fit it all in, which means I’ve created yet another plotless flashfic. (I guess it’s about time that I admitted it - I’m addicted to these things. Hopelessly, helplessly, irreversibly addicted. They’re just so much fun to write!) This was inspired, in part, by a scene at the end of the film Shall We Dance?, but I took the idea and decided to expand on it and give it a shipper twist. (And I can really picture Harm and Mac doing this. Despite the seriousness of the last two seasons, they really are a fun pair.) Now, on with the story before these notes become longer than the flashfic...

“‘Cause you’re so smooth...” Mac bopped her head to the radio as she finished preparing breakfast. She was slicing the grapefruit when she felt two familiar arms wrap around her. Next thing she knew, she’d been spun around into Harm’s embrace. She grinned with amusement at the mischief his eyes held.

As the music broke into an electrifying solo, Harm dipped her right there in the kitchen. Smiling wickedly, he pulled her up slowly, their bodies meshing inch by agonizing inch. Mac’s legs threatened to wobble - even after two years of marriage, he still managed to render her breathless. Once they were facing each other again, it became a dirty-dancing free-for-all of twirling and spinning and explosive laughter. As the song wrapped, Harm lifted her into his arms, breathlessly kissing her and still chuckling.

Their Dirty Dancing moment was unceremoniously cut short by a teenage snort at the opposite end of the kitchen. “Grownups Sheesh ”
