January 2005 News

1/19/05 (kal)
It's already been a month since my last post... heh. You weren't expecting anything more, were you? Of course not, that would just be stupid. Allright, anyways, I didn't touch on this last post, but I found this band online called Stemage (apparantly pronounced something like STAY-mah-HAY or something like that.... I dunno), and they/he do/does this thing called Metroid Metal. It's the sweetest crap I've ever heard, it's the original Metroid soundtrack, hardercore. If you go on metroidmetal.com, you can download all of the songs for free, including midi versions of the old Nintendo soundtrack. Also, a recording of a track based on Super Metroid was recently put up, hopefully the whole game can be "celebrated and interpreted" by Stemage.

According to groupxarab.com, a new cd made up of prank calls was supposed to be released yesterday (at least I think jant 18 means January 18th... I could be wrong... nah), but the announcement is still up on the site, with no other word of ordering or whatever. Now that's just lazy. Blade's been putting off any real information for three years, occasionally saying "new album this summer", turning into "new album this winter", but never has he given a date of release. Unless I hear something very soon, I'm going to get angry, though continue to be a fan. A pretty big fan, with a fansite and everything. In fact, my Group X fansite (http://groupx.cjb.net) has almost 7000 hits; not even half are mine. Seriously, I don't know how it happened, but the traffic is immense on there. 7000 hits over the 20 months it's been up means about twelve people a day go there. That's nuts! It's not even co-owned or professional or attractive! Maybe I'm just so awesome they can't resist. That's what you were thinking too? Great, it's good we think the same way, you know. Because you know what they say, "all's well that ends before curfew". What? I'm starting to ramble like I did in the old days? Before my writing was refined as you haven't come to know because I've only written three times in the past two years? You're probably right. About what? Anyways, check out my Group X site, it rocks because people go to it.

So what do you think about a large-scale hostile takeover... of style? I'm thinking about redoing the setup of the site to be less ugly, as suggested by the now defunct Alice Boris. I'm thinking grey streamlines and stuff like that. Well I have to go, I mispelled magnitude on my last post. What a dumbass. See you next month or whenever. Piece off, bitch.
