News 8/1 - 8/9

What's this? August? Phht. Anyways, on thursday night I saw a legend. A legend that no one really takes seriously but, a legend all the same. Yes you guessed it, the fabulous Ringo Starr (and his All Starr Band). The All Starr Band is actually a pretty neat concept, it's sort of nostalgic or whatever, going back to that time period where a whole slew of bands named themselves ridiculously long titles. Which Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was actually parodying, as Paul and John frequently took tongue in cheek stabs at current culture (though Sgt. Pepper was Pauls idea initially). Sure, I wasn't familiar with any of the members besides Ringo himself, but aside from all of that, it was a really great show. Ringo made little jokes in between songs that kept the audience paying attention, though it sometimes lagged during the bassist's 80's pop ballads, which really aren't fit for the modern time. When the band played "Don't Pass Me By", Ringo played the first verse on a keyboard, which probably surprised a few people. After that, he stalled for a second, walked to the center of the stage, and the song kicked in full gear as Ringo sang lead, hitting his star-shaped tambourine. Ahh, that Ringo.

I finally got the last 2 Ozzy cds I had ordered a while ago, it was probably lost in the mail by our Mexican mail lady, Mrs. Gonzalez. Two days ago we got a full batch of mail belonging to our neighbors, including vet notifications for their pets. They think they're pretty clever, addressing the animal itself, telling it to remind it's owner to bring it in for a
KENNEL COUGH,
but it gets old after about the third notification. Oh man, now I've got "Don't Pass Me By" stuck in my head.

uh, weez here at my mizhouse, checking out les wanderlustus and outher stuffus. Weez going to see A perfect circle tomorrow, which means you suck for not going. Kal's like in the other room watching the T.V. because I don't update enough, whatever that means. I going to "simpsons.com" see you later suckas. Weez saw Ringo Starr, i'll leave you with that cause you wish you were there.

Now, why does he have to be such an asshole? Every single thing he said pissed me off, I don't think I like the .org site any more. He called Pigmy Love Circus a "joke of a band", and I don't think he was just saying that they were funny. I'm fuckin mad now. Dammit.
