Well we did alot of work on the site this weekend. the Morrison Shrine is up and running with 3 cd reviews (of first cd, Essential Rarities, and Greatest Hits). I also added a link to the doors official website and I added a link to alices site on the links page (along with 7up.com). The sites almost ready for it's relaunch (aka Project major Annoyance where we annoy people into going to the site) and we'll keep people coming by adding chat rooms so people don't have to use instant messenger crap and they'll be able to talk to more than one person at a time. Since Kal is getting The Doors Live in Detroit next week i'm going to order either The Bright Midnight Sampler (which is only 15 dollars) or if I earn some money Live At Aquarius Theater: The Second Performance which is 30 dollars (it doesn't have celebration of the lizard king like the first performance but the 2nd performance is longer)I figure me and Kal can exchange and burn copys of the cd's so we don't have to buy each one by ourselves and waste money. "Must be something else we say" nope. I don't have anything else to say except check out the morrison shrine and the updated links page.

Hey, Matt-O-Mac made this news page! Usually he just waits for me to make a new one or he writes on last weeks. And he seems to have done everything right... except one thing. Page headline and title goes on the left side of the page. Eh, simple mistake. I fixed it for you. Nice work on the Morrison Shrine, I haven't seen it yet, but at least you're doing something. Just so you know, don't try to review any of the other cds, for the main six are mine. Anyways, right now I'm recording both Sum41 cds on RealJukebox (and Matt, I've come to the decision that Half Hour Of Power is better than All Killer No Filler [and not only because of them selling out with Fat Lip {boy, wouldn't Mr. Reid be excited to see all these brackets |say, could these be used as brackets?|}]) My favorite songs on HHOP (yes i know it looks funny) are Makes No Difference, Summer (I think it's the same version, but I like this one more, don't ask why, I have no answer), and Second Chance for Max Headroom. It's what we're all about is cool, but I don't really want to get into the whole rap thing again (that momentary liking of Eminem was bad from the start). Max Headroom has a big horn arrangement and very simple, catchy melody, plus a cool ending. I think most of the songs on this cd have Blink 182 riffs, because this whole cd sounds very familiar. Yeah, those doors cds should be good. Matt, I recommend getting (oh wait here's the horns). Okay, I recommend getting the second performance over the sampler, because the sampler sounds like such an unprofessional addition to a collection. Are 36 cds going to be released in all? I think they said 3 cds every six months for the next six years. Aside music, I went to church today and learned some interesting information. Like happy people have little pride, for their reward is heaven. Also, pride is the essence of all sin - look at Lucipher. So I guess me and Chris avoid a lot of sin (although I don't think Chris would appreciate that statement). I'm going to get working on my review of Strange Days, although I don't think I'll finish it today.

Later that day... (kal)
Hey, I looked at the links and the shrine, and Matt, how can you argue that Morrison Hotel is bluesier than L.A. Woman, considering that you only have L.A. Woman and you've only heard Morrison Hotel once? Sure, there are some very bluesy songs on MH, but how can you argue based on your impression? Whiskey and Mystics and Men isn't live, and yes, it would fit under MH because it was recorded during the sessions. Queen of the highway would also fit in an MH style album, mostly because it is on MH. Also, since Orange County Suite was recorded in 1970, it would probably fit best in The Soft Parade or MH, not the dark green aura-ed debut, although it might work out on Waiting for the Sun. And my final insulting reminder, Woman is a Devil is a bonus track because it's a rarity, but it wasn't in the 1997 Box Set (and just to clear things up, the 1997 box set is the 4 disk set, meant for true fans, not for curious kids [unlike me and maybe Matt, who are well accustomed to sounds of the Doors])

A Little While Later (kal)
I finished the review of Strange Days, making this weekend possibly the most productive weekend in the history of the website, even more than when we started. I also did lyrics to The Doors and Strange Days.

As I was walking in from the bus ride home, I saw a particularly large and disgusting caterpillar on my driveway. So I found a stick and bashed its head in. It took a while for me to be satisfied, but after removing most of his guts, I don't think that even his after-death nerves could do anything. I hate bugs, if anyone's wondering. I made the Waiting for the Sun review + lyrics, and I corrected the structure of some of Matt-O-Mac's stuff (picturewise). Not much else, but check it out.

Hey, I need to get back on working on Commercials I Hate! Also, Song Of The Day will resume on Sunday. Heck, why not now? But anyways, starting Sunday will be a special Song of the Day week. I can't tell you why yet, because I want the anticipation to build up inside you, even if just slightly, so on Sunday you can be completely dissapointed. No, seriously. You will be dissapointed. Trust me. This has really been a productive week so far, three Doors reviews in three days for me, and hopefully I'll be up to L.A. Woman by Thursday. I think the sight might need a major makeover, to pardon my cliche. And seriously, I'm not telling you what cliche means if you don't know. All I can tell you is that you base all of you conversations on these. But you have enough intelligence to know what cliche means, you probably try to avoid using them. Anyways, about the "make-over." Our site needs to look more advanced, and white seems to be the general color of advancement, but how boring is a white webpage? I don't know, but we may find out. Our general touch is blue, because that's Matt-O-Mac's favorite. But what about me? What has this site ever done for me? (It's not what the site can do for you, it's what you can do for the site). Thank you, I'd say that's cliche. Before the year's over, you may see a change in formats. And before the day's over, you may see a review for The Soft Parade.

Same day (kal)
Oh look at that... The Soft Parade is done. And there's a new song in the Song of the Day.

A bit later (kal)
I'd like to say something about the last few funny show's I've seen. First, Zach Galifianakis on comedy central presents. Here's the info:
"Monday, September 17, 2001 10:00 PM
All Times ET/PT

Comedy Central Presents[ep #512]

Zach Galifianakis dances and sings his way through this Comedy Central Presents stand-up special."
It was very funny, perhaps the funniest stand-up I've ever seen (and oddly enough, he didn't talk about his odd name, as most second rate comedians would). For instance, one of his dreams was to move to Pakistan and become a cab driver (because there's so many Pakistani cab drivers here). And he plays the keyboard well. Every time his Asian roommate comes in the room, he makes one of those Chinese melody things, if you want to know, ask me at school whenever. So the roomate asks why he does that every time she walks in, so he says "because I don't have a gong." That's kinda racist, but for some reason, it doesn't seem offensive... And at the end, Zach's twelve ex-girlfriends sang a cappella while he showed cards to the audience that said things like "I don't have very good luck with girls" "It's because I look like a fat Jesus" and "Not phat Jesus".

HEY! I GOT A NEEDLE! YEAH! I'm listening to Maxwell's Silver Hammer right now, I gotta go, finish tomorrow.

9/19/01 (kal)
I finished Morrison Hotel review and lyrics, I'm a machine! I've got to do History homework that was due earlier today, so see ya later.

9/20/01 (kal)
And the reviews are finished, said kal. Yes, I did six cd reviews in six days. I feel good. But actually, I don't, because my throat hurts. It's because somebody's green midget is hacking away at that punching bag thing in your throat, and he's using scissors. I hope his martini runs out soon, so he can go back to Matt-o-Mac's house and take his 20 minute dumps. Seriously: Green midget, get out. I just downloaded KaZaA, which is like Napster. I'm currently (well not at the moment, because my sister made me get offline, as she does every day, to call her stupid friends) downloading Slipknot - Wait and Bleed, Slipknot - Left Behind, and Tool - Schism. I have to download Wait and Bleed again because I had to reset my computer. It was probably something my sister did, because she has nothing of value on the computer. Two restarts ago, I had about 150 songs on Napster, and one restart ago, I had about 30 songs on Imesh, and now I have about 1/3 of a songs worth on KaZaA. I gotta go, buh-bye.
