Mindless Self Indulgence
I've seen, in a few places, MSI best described as industrial, new wave, hip hop, and punk, with a venemous splash of attention deficit, or industiral pussy-punk.They originate in New York City. They recently got a new bassist, Lyn-Z, to replace Vanessa, who supposedly went to pursue another carreer-NASA had an opening. They've put out four albums so far: "Mindless Self Indulgence" (self titled), "Tight", "Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy", and "The Left Rights". [As seen, from left to right:] Vanessa (bassist), Jimmy Urine (vocalist, programmer), Kitty (drummer), Steve Righ? (lead guitarist).

Rufio
Rufio is a band hailing from the suburban community, Rancho Cucamonga, on the outskirts of LA. They started just by putting up stuff on mp3.com and giving burned CD's to friends, and tey got big when they began to get internet orders and calls to play shows. Then they put out an album: "Perhaps, I suppose".

Green Day
Billie Joe Armstrong (guitar, vocals) and Mike Dirnt (bass) started their first band, "Sweet Children", in Rodeo, California when they were 14. By 1989, they added Al Sobrante, their current drummer, and changed their name to "Green Day". Shortly after the release of their first album, they replaced the drummer with Tre Cool (Frank edwin Wright), and he became the band's permanent drummer.
They've come out with six albums: "1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours", "Kerplunk", "Dookie", "Insomniac", "Nimrod", and "Warning".

Len
Len represents mine, Jackie's, and Megan's friendship. Most of our memories of our best times play "Hot rod monster jam" or "Man of the year" in the background.
Len is a very unique group in that their first album, "You can't stop the Bum-Rush", they travel across the musical spectrum from the candy-coated ultra-pop of "Steal my Sunshine" and the German electro-plink of "The hard-disk approach", to the romantic soul of "Junebug" and the jurassic old-school style of "Cryptik Souls Crew". It's innovative and catchy, and probably my favorite CD.
