Mission Statement
I have always wanted to become a teacher and the main goal that I had was
to get acquainted with educational systems in different countries, particularly
in the technology field. The first attempt was United States, Cal State
San Bernardino, and I chose the Masters of Education- Instructional Technology
since the courses combine what interest me most: education and technology.
Technology is an on moving field; making the people that I am coming in contact
with aware of the importance of multimedia and its use is one of the things
I want to do successfully. What one can say about the Educational System in
the United States is that it is unique in many ways and I believe that more
countries should go for this “independence” in learning. What I am trying
to achieve is to get the best from the two cultures and teaching strategies
that I am exploring (Romanian and American) for the best of the students.
I really believe that a teacher should have passion for students and learning
and I also believe that becoming a teacher is very challenging since nowadays
the influence of teachers on students lives (attitudes, self-image, rate of
learning etc) is constantly growing. My goal as a teacher is to improve students
learning techniques especially in the technology area and touch my students
lives in a positive way.
By taking this class I hope to achieve two personal dreams: one is to become
familiar with various teaching strategies and second is to get over my fear
of exploring the “computer world”.
