Objective

Seeking an entry level position in the electronics industry in order to use the skills and knowledge that I have gained while earning my degree in electronic engineering technology.


Experience

  • Gained experience in using DMM's, function generators, oscilloscopes and logic probes.
  • Developed stong interpersonal skills. Self disicplined reliability and a strong motivation to succeed during years of retail management and service in the military. Able to understand the wants and needs of customers, as well as employees, and work well in achieving both.
  • During five years as a retail manager and while in college attained knowledge of computer programming and many software packages.
  • Attained knowledge over the years of bookkeeping, payroll, inventory maintenance, warehouse management, customer service, personnel management, and retail merchandizing.

  • Participated in the achievement of sales, productivity, and profitability.
  • Ensured that the store and service center were operated under safe condition in compliance with established policies and procedures, and with federal and state regulations.

Assistant Manager, Harbor Freight Tools,
Sacramento – Santa Rosa CA 1993- 1997

  • Managed a general retail store specializing in selling various tool items.
  • Responsible for the development of customer service strategies.
  • Hired and trained new personnel.
  • Organized and maintained sales floor appearance.
  • Budgeted work hours and prepared time cards.
  • Evaluated personnel performance.

United States Army 1990-1993
  • E-4 Bradley Fighting Vehicle Mechanic. Responsible for the track section of H.H.T., which consisted of eighteen track vehicles and four mechanics. Performed and supervised unit maintenance and recovery of tracked vehicles. Prepared tracked vehicles for operation under abnormal conditions.
