Chapter 19
Late the next night Taylor was about to turn in for the night when a soft knock came at his hotel room door. He sleepily walked over to the door opening it. He woke up a bit and a smile played on his lips automatically when he saw Christine in the hallway. He noted that she looked extremely sexy in her light pink pajama pants and teeny tiny white camisole. “Hey baby, what’s up?” he asked.
Christine came in the door and closed it. “Well, I was just sitting in my room and I got thinking about some stuff, and I decided to come over.”
“Do you need to talk to me about something?” Taylor asked.
“Yeah, kind of…yeah” she said. Taylor noted that she sounded nervous and was fidgeting a lot.
“Christine what’s wro-” he started.
“Taylor, I’m ready” Christine interrupted him.
“What?” he asked.
Christine took his hands and looked deep in his eyes. “I’m ready to make love to you” she said with all the confidence in the world.
Taylor swallowed thickly taking in her words. “Are you sure?” he whispered.
Christine nodded. “I’ve been ready for a long time, I just haven’t been sure. Now I know I’m sure.” She stood on her tiptoes and gave him a soft kiss. Taylor kissed back running a hand down her cheek.
He led her over to the bed where she lay back in the center. Taylor crawled over to her and was about to lean down for another kiss. “Wait” he said sitting up beside her.
“What?” Christine asked looking up at him.
“Before we do anything, I have to ask you something. I can’t believe I’ve never asked you before, I guess I just assumed the answer. I need to know, are you still a virgin?” he asked somewhat hesitantly.
Christine sat up and looked at him. “Yes, I am. But that doesn’t matter. I just haven’t found the right person until now” she explained.
Taylor bit his lip and looked away. “How do you know I’m the right person, when I’ve got the past that I do?”
Christine reached a hand out and grabbed his chin turning his face back to hers. “Taylor, this isn’t about your past. This is about us. And about the fact that you haven’t slept with anyone for 8 months because you love me, and I love you. This is about the present in our relationship, and the future it may have. And anything you did in the past doesn’t ruin how special this is” she told him softly.
Taylor bit his lip trying not to cry at the sincerity of her statement. “I love you so much Christine.”
“I love you too,” she said bringing her lips to his. When she pulled apart she stared deep into his eyes for a moment and then lay back down never breaking eye contact.
Taylor took a deep breath. His heart was pounding furiously. He was nervous even though he knew he shouldn’t be. Christine was the one that should be nervous, and he should take charge and make sure everything went smoothly, but never had anything meant so much to him. He wanted everything to go just right.
He started tracing the outlines of her face with the tip of his finger. When he came to her lips, she kissed his finger. “You nervous?” he asked.
“A little” she whispered. “But it’s okay. I’m ready.”
Taylor nodded. “Me too” he said softly and smiled. With that he reached down to his waist and pulled his shirt off. He then leaned back down over Christine, and started kissing her sweetly.

The next morning Christine woke up with Taylor’s arms around her and his soft breath on the back of her neck. Nothing had ever felt more right to her. She smiled and snuggled closer to him when she felt him tighten up his grip on her, and place a kiss on her cheek. “Any regrets?” he asked doubtfully.
“Nope, none” she told him truthfully.
They lay there together, Taylor softly kissing the back of Christine neck. Both listening to the soft rain that was falling outside. “Christine look at me” Taylor said after a long time.
“What is it?” she asked turning around and facing him.
“Do you remember our first date when you told me you didn’t necessarily believe in waiting until you’re married, but until you love someone enough that you want to marry them. Does that mean you want to marry me?” he asked looking somewhat vulnerable.
“Yeah, sometime. If nothing changes about our relationship” she whispered.
“Good, I’d like that” Taylor said.
