Quantum Mechanics and Reality

I hardly know anything about quantum mechanics, and vaguely understand the idea, but I will try to bring forth my opinion of what it tells us about reality. Quantum mechanics is basically (if I understand correctly) the structure and behavior of atoms and molecules. Reality, as we know it, is ruled by quantum mechanics. This is the basis of physics at the smallest level known to man. (Not to say that there aren't infinitesimally smaller states of physics beyond the atom) It is somewhat humbling that an infinite number of tiny particles dictate how we perceive reality and the universe.
