Freelance Columns  So far I've had four columns published in the Lifebeat section of The Sun Chronicle:

A baby or a puppy? It's no contest (4/19/02)  I ponder the possibility of whether a puppy can muffle the incessant ticking of my biological clock.

A boss becomes a friend (6/21/02)  The title of this column was a tad misleading. My point was that sometimes age and background don't matter when it comes to friendship. Almost everyone who read this column got the wrong idea about it, so I wrote a rebuttal.

Death brings a haunting life lesson (9/6/02)  A bit on an homage to a former teacher of mine, who died before I had a chance to tell him how special he was to me.

Career change brings uncertainty (2/11/03)  I finally come to terms with the fact that television may not be my true calling. Could also be titled: Shelle panics.
