At the 2012 AMCV Championship Show he again graced the ring to be awarded Runner Up Best Exhibit in Specialty Show at only his second show weekend for 2012 and is now back in retirement. At the ASSA Victorian Mushing Boot Camp, Midas led a six dog Mal team in duel lead with Bear through some of the most intensive passing exercises one could imagine. As if that wasn't hard enough the four girls behind him were hot in season and the two entire males didn't blink an eye.
Midas completed his Working Team Dog Title 'WTD' at just 15 months of age. The majority of Km's required were completed in duel lead of the Snowsteeds four dog team that was awarded first Mal Team home at all open races for 2007.
