Elmsly Count
Move Discription
The Elmsley count is a very common card move. There are many applications for this move. The most common uses are to hide a card in a stack or to change the number of cards.
This video demonstrates its most common uses.
As you watch the video, you'll notice that I start out with 4 cards (3 red and 1 blue backed card). As the first count is done, it'll appear as though I have 4 red backed cards. This is a common use for the Elmsley count. The second count just brings the 4 cards back to their original order.
When you see the blue backed card removed, the Elmsley count will be done again and the three cards will appear to be 4 cards. This is another common use for this move.
