The Hesh Republic ("hesh" being a shortened version of hessian) was the brainchild of, initially, Alex Hart, who soon pitched the idea to Paul Lucci. When thinking of a name for a skate team, Alex looked over and saw Ben Hodgkins reading his history book, and the title of the section was The Czech Republic. So, he changed it up a little and that was that.

Today me Lucci and Alex headed over to Andover High to do some skating. We all were feeling it, and busted out. I ollied a chest high ledge and broke the front of my board. I pushed it back into place and made due. I eventually ollied it with the broken deck, i think it made it that much sicker. Alex 50-50ed a 3 foot ledge and 180ed out. That was sick. Later in the day he tryed to smith grind it but that ended in a mess. He went flying down the ledge and then fell down the stair case and jacked his elbow. It was a gnarly fall, not even on tape. Lucci busted out some lines and ollied that ledge that i did. Once the local skaters showed up it took the fun out of it, so we left because of that and the fact that alex was beat to shit. From there we headed to the batch and chilled. I got some food while they skated. Alex got super pissed and stomped his board in half. Speeking of boards Lucci skated a new deck for the 1st time today, he seemed to like it. I need to set my new Element one up tonight. Alex needs to buy a new one. It was a good skate day.
