NOISE Marinair/port /Off Shore Airport for the Thames Estuary

Noise contours for Marinairport,Marinair off shore airport, New airport for the Thames estuary providing 24 Hour round the clock landings and take offs

The Marinair Runways are to be constructed in Shallow Water to a Depth of 2 to 4 metres in the Thames Estuary.

The Leq Contours Diagrams (More to be added) reflect the Airport operating to the aircraft mix and traffic schedule for 16 hours and 24 hour per day, at maximum practical capacity.

The design proposals cover all aircraft taxi-ing, departures, arrivals, maintenance and services related noise.

The NGS contours have been produced within the following parameters:

No Schools ,Churches, Hospitals or other noise sensitive or Listed Buildings will be affected by the location of Marinair and no proposals for known new community dwellings fall within the noise contours created by the use and operation of its Runways.

This includes New Dwellings identified by the Thames Gateway Initiative.

No Noise will be evidenced within Estuarial waters or for some distance outside, No residence will require double Glazing or other noise suppression measures.

The Construction of Marinair would permit adjustments to operational hours of Heathrow, Stansted and Gatwick. So that NO Night Flights would be necessary at any time at these airports.

Effectively this would reduce environmental noise nuisance suffered by people under the approach paths to the established airports in the South East.

NGS contours were assessed by the CAA using 16hr comparative data, as applied to Heathrow, this does not mean that the Heathrow Noise contours are the same for Marinair.
