In the "rebirth" of my web page, I would like to begin by saying that pictures of Lexi WILL be added a.s.a.p. I would also like to extend emmense love, admiration and gratitude to my fiancee', David and my future mother-in-law, Shirley (although she is like a karmic mother to me in spirit) These two people have been MAJOR keys in my life for the past two years and are irreplacable loves. My fiancee' and I have been through thick and thin together and have seen eachother through intense struggles. He has supported me in every way and still stands beside me in my present trials of life. He is most definitely and truly my best friend. Our motto is " You and I against the world." It is very true. Because whatever life situations or "people" try to toss at us, it's always David and I.......STILL TOGETHER standing strong. My soon to be mother-in-law, Shirley, has been another source of great support and love. She has been there for me through it all as well. She has helped center me when I have had trouble finding a "calm" within myself when things have gotten out of sorts. She has provided me with all that a natural birth mother would. She possesses born beauty, inside and out. Even though the past two years ( among many before) have been trying, I wouldn't change anything. I believe we grow from these experiences and become much stronger because of them. Even if, at the time, it seems there is no light at the end of the tunnel. I see these life events as a test of our will. And I also believe that the people that walk beside us through them are actually spiritual guides that aid us in our journey. It is all part of a "plan". For instance, if we have gone through life with no patience, tolerance or take an aspect of our lives for granted, karma will step in and say " This is the new plan for you and you will learn from it." Whether the unexpected is a negetive or a positive, it's instilled in the plan for a reason. If it is seen that we have veared off course, something will happen to change direction and place us back to where we NEED to be. And it might not always be where we WANT to be. But, again, this is for a reason. Personally, I didn't want some things to happen in my life. But they did inevitably. Despite the impact.....those happenings taught me lessons that are invaluable and made me a much stronger, patient, unconditionally loving, and appreciative human being. I trust that the struggles I have been through have been due to a greater spirit's "wake up call" to me. I have had no choice but to be forced to look at things that may pain me. At first, of course, you feel "Why me!?" But as time goes on and you tread through whatever the struggle is, you realize that it happened so you could envision what life is truly for and appreciate it. Unless someone has come close to death, had a child born with a "disabilty", fought cancer or has hit the almighty ROCK BOTTOM, they do not acknowledge the true essense of life and what it has to show us. They would not notice the smell of the woods after it rains, how wonderful sand feels between thier toes, or how vital a part someone is in their life. These are the ones who are "tested" in life. I believe that you REALLY learn to appreciate and hold people and things dear if they come close to being torn away from you forever. It's almost as if, in some cases, we find a comfort zone.........we begin to forget how important a person is and/ or how precious and fragile life is. Some may consciously or subconsciously decide that those things are to be just taken without thanks, love and acknowledgment. That's when we get struck with a karmic bolt of lightening that is telling us "TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT WHAT YOU HAVE AND BE GRATEFUL FOR IT EVERY SECOND- FOR SOON, IT MAY BE GONE!" Heed these words.........If you ever begin to discredit important people in your emotional surroundings, feel scorned by life, or complain about a situation you're in, REMEMBER..........that person could be gone and that situation could be ALOT worse. Be thankful everyday for the beauty and love of the people in your life.........and also grateful for every sun you wake to. (Blessed Be)
