earth week 2001: in conjucntion with MassPirg and the Earth Reps, we sponsored a series of lectures and activities.

we went to garlic festival in the fall of 2000 and helped the nice people there sort and label recycling, trash, and compost (and direct traffic, which wasn't really in our job description, but wasn't so bad anyway)

we collected signatures at a shaws/starmarket grocery store on a cold cold december day for masspirg petitions to get genetically modified food out of supermarkets.

we brought a hybrid car to smith so that students could testdrive it.

we've brought a speaker from the rainforest action network (ran) to come speak to people in december.

and we've worked with masspirg and sierra club on a few occasions to show videos and have discussions.

we brought julia butterfly hill to smith camous to speak to the school in spring 2001. (thanks entirely to kim cheney).

we put together a people and earth friendly purchasing guide in spring 2001.
