Shawn Paradise was the only person to make his debut at the 2002 Halloween Foosball Tournament and he did so in historic fashion. Shawn faced the man with whom he shares a birthday, a love for pro wrestling, and a little bit of insanity, Jim in the first round of the Halloween Foosball Tournament and lost.
However, he also entered the doubles tournament as a solo participant and lost twice in the round robin portion of it, meaning that Shawn Paradise had a total of three Halloween Foosball Tournament losses in a single year, something no one had every accomplished before, breaking Patrick Casserly's 6 year old record. While some question whether its actually fair to compare them, he did set a doubles record for losses in a year, and also tied Pat for the most losses in a single tournament.
