You play as Max Payne, a New York cop who has lost everything, your wife, kid, and almost your sanity. After three years the time for revenge against the people who took everything you loved away from you has arrived.

One of the features in Max Payne that makes it so amazing is bullet time. While in bullet time everything slows down, giving it a Matrix effect which greatly help's out, considering how smart and how heavily armed your opposition is. The coolest thing about bullet time is the bullet time combo which allows you to leap just above the ground in any direction allowing you to move in a 360 motion and shoot at the bad guys, all while in slow motion. The levels in the game are just gorgeous, from the subways of New York to the Rooftops the detail is just stunning. Also one of the best levels forces you to escape an exploding resturant with flames licking at your heels and explosions everywhere, and that is just the start of the level!

Max Payne is a ground breaking game and I give it a 10 out of 10.
