Hurc is a 1970 Jeepster Commando with a 225 V-6 with an HEI conversion, a T-14, D20,and a D44 rear with a D27 front running open diffs and 4.27 gears. Stock HD suspention 6 leaf rear/ 5 leaf front with MORE shackles in rear. 1.5" body lift, trimmed fenders, 33x10.5 BFG AT ko's on 15x8 American Racing alloys. Custom bumpers front and rear with a bumper mounted swing out tire rack on rear, custom 2 1/4" exhaust out the rear, Rocker panel skids welded in, Duplicolor bed liner inside, Subframe seat mounting with Trailmax classic seats with an ammo can center console and Cobra CB, Smitty built roll bar, re-wired entire deal with all waterproof components, wheels like mad! Soon to pull off body for a SM465 tranny install with fullwidth D44 wagoneer axles sprung over with a front shackle reversal and 35x12.5" tires and wrangler flares. |

It is a 69 with the v6 and turbo 400, whoever had it before me put two monoleaf springs on the rear and I put on a rancho add a leaf on the front, I have owned it for about 20 years and 15 of those years it sat beside the house rusting away. |

Here is the newly acquired Vail Jeepster named "Zeus". It is a 68' Jeepster Commando with a Stock 225 V-6, Turbo 400, D20, D44 rear and D27 front with 3.73 gears, Power saginaw steering, rebuilt and arched rear multi leaf springs with a mono leaf main spring, homeade 2" lift shackles on rear, 2" Confer shackles on front, Rancho 9000 shocks, trimmed fenders, 31x10.5 BFG AT ko's, new white paint, rewired waterproof electrical system, beefed up tire rack on rear with Jerry can and a custom aliminum toolbox with clyinder lock. It has leather Cherokee front seats and a CJ-7 rear seat, and it is turning out to be a pretty good fourwheeler. Plans for Zeus are a SM420 or T-18 swap, 4" alcan springs, and 33x10.5 AT kos. |
