Although they aren't as long as OoT's trading sequnces, of which there are two, they are more necessary for Majora's Mask. The main reason being that in the very beging to survive you have to do a little work or the moon will crash, and well, you'll die(sorry). heheh. 
 The First Trading Sequence - In order to survive and get the Ocarina of Time you must first do this.
Kafei's Trading Sequence - A LONG trading sequence, gets you a few items
