Q: So what are these products?
A: The DVD X Copy Platinum/Xpress program allows you to copy any DVD, regardless of its security permissions, onto a blank DVD -R or +R. The DVD X Rescue program (a part of DVD X Copy Platinum) allows you to repair scratched or damaged discs, and burn new copies. The DVD X Games Copy Program allows you to copy DVD Video Games to DVD -R or +R.
Q: What is the activator program?
A: The activators are special "workaround" programs that allow you to install and re-install the programs as many times as you want, on as many computers as you want!
Q: What is included in this package deal?
A: All programs come with the setup instructions needed to activate the programs in a way that will not necessitate a registering of them, thus disabling the activation codes, and making them possible to be reinstalled over and over again. The original manufacturers warranties don't apply, but the original manuals are supplied.
Q: What are the system requirements?
A: Minimum Requirements (from Instruction Manual): Windows ME/98SE/2000/XP, Pentium III 500 MHz, 128 MB of RAM, 10 GB of Free Hard Disk Space, DVD –R(W) or DVD +R(W) drive.
Recommended Requirements (from Instruction Manual): Windows ME/98SE/2000/XP, Pentium 4 1.4GHz, 512 MB of RAM, 12GB of Free Hard Disk Space, DVD –R(W) or DVD +R(W) drive.
Q: Is this illegal?
A: It is illegal to copy some types of DVDs and sell them, or otherwise infringe on copyrights. It is NOT illegal to make backup copies for personal use. What you do with your software is your business and any laws you may break are not condoned by this software, or its sellers, nor are we held responsible for what you do with this product.
Q: Doesn't 321 Studios own the rights to this product?
A: Not anymore! They had to forfeit their copyrights to this software in a court case, and they are no longer a company. It is thus now legal to redistribute what was once copyrighted software under the Fair Use Law. For more info: Read Here
Q: If it's legal, then why aren't you selling it on eBay?
A: Short answer: Because eBay is an overly cautious company filled with wussies who care too much about looking bad than the actual law.
Long answer: I have filed an appeal with them to sell this product. Their argument is that this product could possibly be used for copyright infringment, and so they feel it is encouraging crimes. I argued that the purpose of the software is for making backup copies of your DVDs, a process that is 100% legal. The fact that someone may break the law with it is irrelevant, because you could feasibly break the law with a number of objects bought on eBay, including knifes and guns, but that doesn't stop eBay from allowing them to be sold!
Q: I found some other versions of X Copy on eBay - they allow this?
A: No, eBay will cancel the auction when it sees what they are selling. This has happened many times, and always results the same way: eBay cancels the auction and tells the buyer they can't buy the item. Trust me, I've tried!
Q: Some sites tell me not to buy these programs with activators because they won't work properly...are they lying?
A: Yes. Why? Because they want you to buy theirs with the original factory activators. They will activate only 7 times, and then the software will not be able to be installed on any computer again. That is what 321 studios originally intended, but the activator program included here will allow you to re-install as many times as you like.
Q: How do I know they're lying? How do I know you're not lying??
A: You don't, actually. Nobody can prove anything until you buy it and try it out for yourself, unfortunately. You can buy someone else's software, but when you pay big $$ and realize your software won't activate after 7 attempts, don't come crying to me! Plus, even if my software only installed like theirs, isn't it worth it? Think about it. You get all 3 programs for only $25...can you beat that price anywhere else? So what does it matter if you don't believe me that the activator will work indefinitely? If you're going to buy it anyway, you might as well buy it here and you'll be pleasantly surprised when you see that I was telling the truth. Not that I'm saying that there is a chance that it won't work...I have tested this out many times on many machines, and it works every time. I have dilligently put together detailed instructions to explain to you how to do it right, and I'm offering you free support in the event you had any problems! So I ask you, doesn't that seem fair?
Q: How much is this?
A: The three programs have been selling for as little as $29 each (on various sites) and as much as $199 for the updated version of X Copy Platinum. I have included this updated version as well as all three programs. This makes the value well over $200. That doesn't even include the activators, which are not even commercially available! Thus, you are getting hundreds of dollars worth of software that is not universally distributed anymore, for only $25!
Q: Do you offer any guarantees?
A: I can't, since I didn't make the software, but I will offer free tech support to the best of my ability (I'm a software engineer and programmer) to anyone who buys this from me.
Q: How do I order?
A: Simply click on the link at the top to purchase via Paypal. I also accept money orders and checks, but you will have to contact me to arrange those payments. I accept credit card payments via paypal, as well as paypal transfers of existing paypal funds, and paypal transfers from bank accounts.
Q: Do you offer tracking information?
A: Not normally, but if you do want it to be shipped via UPS with a tracking number, you'll have to pay extra. Standard shipping (USPS) is free.
