I started flying RB2 in Feb. of 1998! I loved the game!! I finally figured trying out the internet! I saw that you could actually fly vs. other real people! I decided to try out the WON thing! I followed the directions and low and behold I found my way into a game server with several rooms! I think some of the rooms were Aces Bar and grill! A beginners room and a few other private rooms where you needed passwords to enter! I can still remeber my first online experience getting hammered away by somebody! In WON you started directly opposite of your opponent and flew directly at him then engaged!! LOL boy have times changed!!I started to hear about the so called wars going on!! You could actually fight 2 vs. 2 and even 3 vs. 3 WOW!!! I inquired and people said that I had to join a squad!! I searched for an allied squad to join and came across the RFC46!! The CO at the time was Yeates and the XO was Iceman! I had a practice flight and lucky for me they let me join!! :0) Iceman must have shot me down 6 times consecutively!! Geez what a great pilot!!! The RFC46 was a great squad! We had tons of talent we were in several wars and had quite a few members!! I remember BV crazed and Chumley under another name, Magpie and a few others like Seawolf and skyking! Also this guy named toad!!!! :0)Well Ice and Yeates got really burdened by real life and then Seawolf took over as acting XO.. Then Hawker and finally Chum stepped in to try and save the RFC46!! However as Chum stated we had some low pilot turnout!! We joined up with the RAF209 during the WAR! We had a blast There was probably only 5 of us flying under the RFC colors but with the RAF we did very well!!Chumley took over the duties and then Droops invited us to join the RAF!! We were proud to join up.. I still am proud of RFC46 but now the RAF209 is home! I joined the RAF and stepped down to the the rank of Lt. from formerly a Captain in the RFC but I didnt mind in the least! I love this squad a great group of people!!! I had the pleasure to meet up with a few at Rhinebeck and have talked to a few via phone!

I always enjoyed World War 1 aircraft and dogfights. I bought The Role playing game called Dawn patrol a long long time ago. I was instantly hooked. As time went on with technology my interest moved onto computer sims!! I found a couple of games along the way.. Then found RB! What a great game!! I then bought RB2 and have been a dedicated pilot since.

I joined the RFC46 in June of 1998 after 3 months of flying online. We had a fun group of guys!! Due to extenuating circumstances the RFC wasn't having turnout and alot of the guys were inactive! We recieved an invite from RAF209th and most of us jumped at the chance!! The RAF209 was home but then a series of events transpired and the RFC46 was reborn. I resigned from the RAF209 and rejoined the RFC46 with several of the older members.
