I watched the baseball game till the bitter end last night, and couldn't believe the Mets lost on a walk. I really thought they were going to pull it off again. I was so sorry to see them lose.

Well, as far as I'm concerned, last night's game marked the end of the baseball season. I don't like either the Braves or the Yankees.

Who to cheer for, Turner or Steinbrenner? No choice there either. So baseball is done.

There was an appreciation rally for the Sox at City Hall in Boston today, and apparently lots of fans and players turned up in the pouring rain. Pedro Martinez was a howl. I like the camaraderie among the players.

At least I don't have to stay up so late watching these nail biter games. I'm sleep deprived again.

Tonight was also the end of my computer course. I can't say I'm sorry to see it end, but I also can't say I didn't enjoy myself.

It was a learning experience.

I'm not sure I'd bother to do it again if I was asked, though, as one more night out really made me feel wiped out for the next couple of days. I also had a hard time making sure I had handouts and lessons for everyone, as it was one more prep to do that often got put off so I could get my real job stuff taken care of.

It was an interesting group, to say the least, and I'm not sure how much any of them actually got out of it. I tried.

We’re taking the kids to the Youth Symphony on Friday I assume Keith Lockhart is conducting, he makes my heart beat faster. The selections this time are: Bach - The Art of the Fugue; Beethoven - Symphony No. 6: Pastorale; Bartok - Concerto for Orchestra and Dvorak - Symphony No 9 in E minor:"The New World".

I usually do quite a bit with writing and music to prepare the kids to go, but I have to say that we are really ill prepared this time. There was no workshop for teachers until last weekend, and they didn't notify half of us. This also meant that there wasn't enough time to work any activities into the schedule. So no writing pieces this time.

I think it's the fault of the New England Conservatory, as they have taken over the education component, but seem to have no concept as to how a public school is run.

Time to peel off my contact lenses and get some sleep. At least I'll be in bed before midnight!
