This unit appears only for a short while, and was then invaded by the 13th
Angel. It was destory by Eva 01 with dummy plug activated. It was affected by
the 13th Angel at the Matsushiro base when it was schedueled for a test. The
underground labortary was destoryed and the unit set itself free. At the time,
the pilot, Touji Suzahara, is trapped inside. EVA-03 seems to have the similar
agility and strenght of Eva 01. It was able to defeat EVA-02 without much
effort.
When it was in battle with Eva01, it managed choke Eva 01. Shinji was was
unreluctant to fight back leaving Genduo with no choice but to activated the
dummy plug system. The ugly side of Eva 01 was revealed when it rips
EVA-03 and even crushes the entry plug of Eva 03. Although Touji survives
though the tragedy, he loses his left arm and leg. This unit was created out of
Adam. which explain why the angel could possess it.
